girl vs. boy dogs

  1. Which one is better?

We always have girl dogs...but only to prevent the little boy dog from coming along lifting it's leg peeing on walls and furniture.

I'd love to hear from people who prefer females AND males. I want to hear each sides opinion.

I've had both. Liked both. Currently have a male, but he was fixed as soon as old humping legs or furniture and he has never lifted his leg on anything indoors. He's not even very obsessive about marking outdoors either.

I have had 2 dogs at any given time the last 19 years and always 1 female and 1 male....all have been males have always been of the aggressive type (not so aggressive as to be dangerous....just notice more of those type characteristics) and my females protective and motherly....I have no major preference for either sex however as long as I will have 2 dogs I will always choose 1 of each sex....never 2 of the same I have seen too many cases of territorial issues with same sex....just my personal opinion however....

BOTH---EITHER--- NEUTERED/SPAYED, preferably, will make awesome pets. I tell you, training is key. You need to know HOW to handle a dog, male or female. That and neutering. It's a must.

Girl dogs can squat and pee around the house too, so it doesn't matter. I've had both and have had lovely experiences. The good thing about a boy dog is when you take him out you know he'll pee because he'll mark his territory. Then you can feel good about leaving him knowing his bladder is empty. Mine doesn't mark indoors.

My little terror a 5# chihuahua is the master of the property. NO one bothers us when she's "on guard duty."

She doesn't squat she stands on her front legs with both back legs off the ground.

The 2 boys one 6 (50#)the other 16(11#) do have their "contests", but the ruler of the domain is the cockapoo. She OWNS the territory, she is the BIG KAHUNA.
