Gas Prices are Down

  1. Down from 3.00/gallon to 2.50 in my neighborhood. How about you?

Guess after the bad press of the oil companies making billion dollar profits, they could afford to give us a break.

Of course in the last month I've gotten letters from my bug man, electric company, water company, etc. etc. "Due to rising costs, we must raise the cost of your service to........."

the gas here has gone from $1.75 to $2.45.......but its miles cheaper than back home in the uk, and the island is only 28 miles long by 8 miles wide, so we cant go very far to use much.

My husband and I were visiting our oldest daughter and her family in the Detroit area when Katrina hit. Gas had been on the rise, but the day before we headed back, it took a giant leap up to $3.49!!! Yikes.

Today, I saw gas for $2.37, a difference of $1.12 per gallon. Multiply that by our 21-gallon tank and you have a reduction of $23.52 per fill up.

The sad thing is that $2.37 looks GOOD.

To keep my perspective, I think back to our trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland last February. Gas over there is, as they say, very dear.
