  1. Good morning!

I'm surprised no one has started the thread yet. Here I am, still up because I can't breathe (see thread on allergy to cats). Am so mad, mostly at myself for not asking if a cat had lived in my apt and some of it at my frigging sinuses who think they can take a month or two off and not work!

Well, I'm going to fix that. I have one last thing to try then I'm telling the manager that he is moving me to an apt that didn't have cats living in it! There are several openings in this place so it wouldn't be a big move.

I despise anything that is related to felines.

Hope you all have a great day and can breathe!

Please keep my future nieces and my sil in your thoughts. Got an email from my mom saying that she is on bedrest and her due date isn't until late April. Dr said he hopes to keep them in there until the first of March....at least. I do not want to be visiting the NICU. Work in the NICU, yes, but not visiting.

Had a bad feeling when I last saw her and her belly was gigantic. Feel like this one is going to be c-section - first set were vaginal.

Morning Bethin. Sorry about your allergies and the previous occupants with their cats. Hope something can be worked out!
I will certainly keep your SIL and babies in my thoughts and prayers. I'm kinda worried about my best friend--she's due the end of this month & has been having trouble spilling protein in her urine--presently on 24-hr urine test but doc said yesterday she is 50% effaced and 2 centimeters dilated so she could go at any time. Yikes

Morning to all who follow. Work evening for me. It's just started snowing. can only imagine what it will be like when I leave for work around 2 pm--even more so when I get out at 11 pm.

Bethin, you poor dear. have you ever tried the FeBreeze for Allergens? Not that it would be a cure but it might help. My daughter was bothered with a moderate allergy to cats but would not allow me to get rid of her cat and I tried that and it helped some. Thoughts are prayers for your SIL and babies. God bless her...a 2nd set of twins!

Suzy, have a good day at work and drive safe. We were supposed to get snow after 4am but so far nothing has started here yet.

Sorry about your problems Bethin - personally I adore cats - sorry HOpe you get it sorted soon. Thoughts for your sil & babies too.

You take care on the road Suzy!!

It is a beautiful day here in London UK, as it was yesterday - sunny & really, really mild for the time of year - only needed a jumper when I collected my kids from school in the afternoon. The daffodils are coming out & spring is definitely in the air!! The sort of day that just cheers you up looking out the window! SEE as I told you guys already - the UK doesn't always have terrible weather!:chuckle Not that it makes me want to stay - too many other things make me want to leave but honestly the weather isn't actually one of them!

Had a great shift yesterday -all 5 patients of mine were just really nice people, funny, happy, great to look after - made the time fly by & it made my nursing care better for it too - a happy nurse = great care in my book!

I'm in charge over the weekend so I hope nothing awful happens - the other day someone managed to get a patient accepted who died just 2 hours post admission. As a small private & in all truth basically a surgical hospital (similar to USA ambulatory care units I think from what I read - except we do some more acute work too) I just don't know how it happened. No way would I have accepted a patient in that condition. ONLY because of the type of facility we are mind you - NOT because I don't care. Apparently the relatives had visited the local funeral parlour earlier in the day - why on earth couldn't they just let the pt die peacefully at home??? Anyhow - I don't want anyone trying that on me this weekend!!!

Hope you all have a safe & happy day xxx

Good morning, I'll be leaving for a 12 hour shift soon. Sorry about the cat allergy. My daughter had a severe cat allergy, but it cleared up on it's own when we got more cats. She's ten now and isn't allergic any more.

Good luck to the mom on bedrest!
