Forgive me! I just need to vent!

  2. i just don't know. i guess it's the summer depression! i'm watching the big "40" approach faster than i would like. my oldest daugher is getting married saturday and i'm a basket case!
today has been awful! all of the last minute things needed for the wedding. tabitha (the one getting married) has been crying all afternoon, she has a rash and is itching all over. (yeah, i gave her benadryl). some fool, told her it was going to rain all weekend and she's upset about that!
this is my first child to leave the nest and i'm really not handling it very well. only 2 1/2 hours of sleep in the last 24. had to work the night shift last night.
tell me it gets better>>>>>> please!
    thanks for listening :kiss

Well Dianne, first of all, you're in my thoughts at this very stressful time

Second of all, I'll get around to your pic, I promise! Things have been busy here, although it sounds like nothing compared to what you're going through!

Third... I was confused for a minute. Because you were talking about your daughter getting married, and I thought "that must not be the Dianne who's pic I have, she's much too young to have a daughter that's getting married!"

I must know what kind of beauty products you use! Lookin' good girl!

    Beautiful couple there, Dianne.

Yes - it gets better! The itching will stop, the munchkin will get married, and all will be right with the world (btw - I hear sons are easier when it comes to this whole wedding business - what's the gender breakdown on the rest of them? )

Hang in there! You will all get thru today and tomorrow. As far as the rain..my sister got married in the middle of a raging Nor'Easter. The last thing we recall about her wedding is the weather. We all had a blast. Don't worry about things you can't control, focus on the things you can. Take a deep breath, go for a long walk and relax and enjoy yourself tomorrow!!
    Beautiful Kids!!

EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE.......TAKE DEEP, DEEP CALMING GULPS OF AIR...AND ENJOY THE MOMENTS AS THEY COME..........AND SIT BACK AND REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB......AT BEING A MOM, AND A BEST FRIEND.....I HOPE THIS HAS HELPED.

Sorry you are so stressed. The weather will be ok. If it rains, it rains. The bride will be just as lovely and the wedding will be just as beautiful with or without rain. I hope things settle down and everyone is able to enjoy the day.

Return (((hugs))) to you, Dianne! Good advice from fedupnurse, and everyone else. The ceremony itself holds the meaning for everyone, everything else is just cake. And hey, some of the best memories come from the things (like weather) we thought would ruin the day back then.

Hope you and your daughter have a wonderful day, rain or shine!

all will turn out well, mom.....the day will be beautiful regardless of the weather. you are inheriting a son and you'll still have your daughter for life. i know. i've married off three daughters already, and i absolutely adore my son-in-laws...and all the beautiful grandbabies they have blessed our family with.

it's okay for moms to cry...dads too....when their kids get married. when my kids married, i cried too. crying can be a very healing medicine for parents when their kids reach the age of becoming someone elses "pride and joy".
