For Football Fans Only :-)

  1. sorry, don't mean to brag, but.........

    san diego rules!!!!!!!!

i can't help it. my parents held chargers season tickets for 20 years and never got to see a season like this one. i can only pray that god is an nfl fan and he lets them watch the games from heaven..........there has never been a season like this in all the years the team's been in san diego. not in the '60s when we had john hadl and lance "bambi" alworth, not in the early '80s when we had air coryell, dan fouts, rolf benirschke, kellen winslow, and charlie joiner, not even in '94 when we made it to the super bowl for our first, and to date, only time.

now we have the best record, and arguably the best assembly of talent, in the entire nfl. we've also won ten straight, smashed all sorts of scoring records, earned home-field advantage through the playoffs.........and a week to rest and recuperate before they begin. (thank goodness---i'm a bit worried about qb philip rivers, who injured his foot and had to come out of the game.) what an incredible season---it's one we who have followed this team literally through thick and thin will be talking about, long after ladainian tomlinson and company have retired.

it's funny, how one can change locations but never team loyalties; i grew up with the team and have been a fan since i was in middle school. and even though my home is closer to seattle, my heart will always remain in san diego........and with the 2006 afc west champions (and hopefully super bowl winners), the chargers!!!!!!!!!

i bleed blue and [color="yellow"]gold. how about you??

The Titan's started out so horribly after a bad year last year. They have really done well climbing out. Had we won today against the NE Patriots we would have been in the wild card race. I'm hoping this is a sign of things to come for next year. Ever since the Titans came to Nashville they had been doing so awesome until last year when everyone was injured or left and now finally with 13 new players they're back!

Congratulations to your Chargers. I'll be rooting for them too!

yeah, i'd rather see philadelphia in there than da bears: they'll be easier to beat j/k.........nfc has more than its share of weak teams, but the eagles aren't one of them. congratulations to your team as well!!

The Colts will be there. I think that Peyton Manning is the best QB in the league. He's got brains, he's a perfectionist, he's very giving to the Indianapolis community and he's a talented player. He' an all around wonderful guy. But I think that some of his perfectionism is what caused the team's losses. They weren't calling the offense the best for nothing.

I'm hoping for the best. This team deserves to wear "the ring".

I hope Eli Manning is choking on every acomplishment San Diego made and makes this year. How he and Archie handled themselves the year he was drafted was a disgrace. My drive me up the wall Steelers are obviously down for the count this year so I say:

    GO CHARGERS!!!!!!

I love me some Chicago Bears...

Yesterday was just a stumble. At least i will get to see Brett Farvre for a few more games...rawwwwr

As a NW Indianda resident, 80 minutes from Chicago, with roots in Dallas and Miami, I must also say I love the Cowboys, the Colts and the Dolphins. I also think San Diego has cool uniforms.

Yes, I've wear two hats when rooting for the teams. I't been an interesting season!

Was Archie the one that encouraged Eli to sit out the season the was with Detroit?

(I may have my story mixed up.)

    Thanks, NurseyBaby!!

BTW, I rooted for the Steelers in last year's Super Bowl.......next to the Chargers, they're my favorite team. I always cheer on the AFC team anyway, but it was a genuine pleasure when Pittsburgh won.

    See y'all in Miami!

Eli wasn't with Detroit. San Diego drafted him and he demanded to be traded or he would sit out. How he acted when they announced their pick just made him appear like a spoiled child. I'm sure the footage is somewhere out there on YouTube if you really want to see it. He didn't feel they were serious about winning. Archie acted as his agent. That's how the Chargers wound up with Phillip Rivers. It was the same year the Steelers got Roethlisberger. It would be great to see the following scorecard from that draft class:

    Super Bowl Championships

    Ben Roethlisberger 1
    Phillip Rivers 1
    Eli Manning 0
