Football 2006

  1. Well, everyone...today is the first day of football season for my beloved Gamecocks. They're playing Mississippi State tonight and I'm DYING for this game and the season to start. Luckily they're playing in Mississippi, because I don't know if the weather here would be permissive to the WHOOPIN' that's gonna be issued tonight....Ernesto is dumping on us right now.

Anyone else excited about football season?

    Who do you pull for??

The only team I follow in the NFL (if I follow the NFL at alL) is Buffalo Bills.

I'm more a NHL kinda guy to be honest

    Good luck to your gamecocks!

I am SO ignorant I didn't know who the Game Cocks were. USC meant University of Southern California.

I know enough not to walk in front of the TV when the Cowboys are playing.
I do like womans basketball. The Sparks and Longhorns are my favorite pro & college teams respectively.

I also wish good luck to your Gamecocks!

I once was offered money to sell "Speedy" a rooster we raised from a day old chick. The guy wanted to fight him!
He looked like the one on the left.

There is a Gamecock playing for the Bills this year - Ko Simpson. He was a sophomore last year, but declared eligibility for the draft early. Keep an eye on him....don't know how he'll do in the pros, but we sure miss him.

My husband and I each had a "secret" vow when we got married, to only be read at the altar. His? I had to vow that I would be a Cowboys fan while married to him. It got a great laugh!!

    Gamecocks 15....Mississippi State NADA!!!
First shutout since 2000!!! Man, I love Carolina Gamecocks!!

Followed the Illini when I lived in IL. Have no vested interest in college teams here in Maine.

BIG Vikings fan....lol....have taken a lot of grief from my Pats fan DH for the last several years . But....I can deal with misery and losing....being a Cub fan has taught me that!!

I was a Vikings fan until they didn't renew Mike Tice's contract. Now I'll have to be a Jaguar's fan.

I should cheer the Sooners. Most of my cousins are OU grads.
I'm a closet spoil sport who could live the rest of my life without seeing the Sooner Wagon again.
I love half time at college games!
The band music and formations. My Dad and my son were in highschool, military, and college bands.

Well, needless to say this UT Longhorn fan was very dissappointed with the outcome of last Saturday's game against Ohio State. Oh well, kudos to the Buckeyes! I still think the Longhorns will do well in the Big 12 this year... as long as that beat OU, again this year.

Can a Cowboys fan please have a worthy field goal kicker, LOL. Hey... T.O. looked darn good. Ya'll mark my words, the Cowboys will rule the NFC East [I hope ]

life is ironic... t.o. once scorned the dallas star at midfield, now he will have the opportunity to scorched his former team.

lol, i never thought bill parcells would be the head coach of the dallas cowboys, either. then again, if jerry jones can hire barry switzer to coach the cowboys nothing surprises me. yet, i've been a cowboys fan since staubach beat out morton for the starting qb position, and will always be a fan.

    - go cowboys!

Pittsburgh Steelers fan here. Dh is a huge 49ers fan. He used to go to all the home games and I got to go to some of them, but when you move 500 miles away, have a child and buy a house, something's got to give.... I miss it, though.
