Flank steak... yummy!

  1. I saw this bag of meat marinating in the fridge, and after he grilled it I was amazed! I noticed he wrote the recipe down (and left it on the counter LOL), so gotta share this marinade... it was soooo good. I usually do the marinades, but gotta hand it to him, it was a keeper!

    1/2 cup veg oil
    1/3 cup soy sauce
    1/4 cup red wine vinegar
    2 Tbl Lemon juice
1 1/2 Tbl worcester (or however you spell it he put worch LOL)
    1 Tbl Dijon mustard
    2 cloves garlic
    1/2 tsp black pepper

He didn't write down salt, but I guess the soy sauce covers that. He used flank steak and grilled on the weber outside.

Wow funny you should mention it; I have a flank steak marinating since last night in my fridge to grill tonite. It is uncharacteristically sunny and warm here in Seattle, grilling weather. So we are taking advantage of it. My marinade looks a LOT like yours. It makes the steak oh so tender and tasty, I can barely stand to wait til it is done! thanks for sharing! :-) Oh and yes SOY SAUCE COVERS IT....i also am fond of laying green onions on top of the steak to add a bit more "bite". YUMMERS!

I never put oil in my marinades, but he did so I wonder if that is for the grill? He does the outdoor grilling (I am gender biased on that LOL).

Do you normally put oil in your marinades for inside cooking?

YES I DO use oil in them, absolutely! Esp for VERY lean meats like flank steak.
