I know, it's very convincing! Only reason I put the snopes link up- when I first saw that site (years ago) I almost believed it!

I recall discussing this "male pregnancy" topic with college friends many, many moons ago (24+ year ago! ). Don't recall HOW we got on the topic. But we speculated that, one day, a male could carry a baby to term (with a LOT of help of from science/technology, of course). I only mention this because reading this thread stirred old and fading memories of this conversation. It was an interesting conversation with friends lost from decades of living. Interesting to see this topic revived again, though.

Could technology get to the point where a male can possibly carry a pregnancy to term??

Oh well. . . just taking a walk down memory lane. . .

Babies are soooooo cute. Don't think I'd ever want to bare one, though! :chuckle

ummmm I would have to ask WHY? Why would we want it, even if it were true?

I guess for the guys who would want to experience pregnancy, labor and delivery.

This story reminds me of the t.v. show I saw the other night on Grey's Anatomy where a patient and his wife were "both pregnant". The wife was eight months pregnant, and the man was...well....in labor with a "tumor". That show cracked me up! :chuckle

A man could NOT endure childbirth any more than a woman could endure living with a "preggo man".

He should have given birth a long time ago.

I remember reading a science article some 15 years ago where they had proven that male pregancy was possible . The experiment was actually part of research to determine how much eostrogen etc the placenta produces during pregnancy. They implanted an embryo into a male baboon and into various parts of the anatomy of male mice. The "pregnancies" were successful with the surprising result that the embryo's developed best and longest when implanted into the male mouse's testicular sac. This particular point gave me some, well, funny mental images..................:chuckle
