Finally got that big raise

  1. I work LTC and we had been promised this big raise since August. This big raise was going to attract good talented nurses and finally not have to use agency anymore.
We learned this week that the big raises had finally been approved. They were based on years experience as a nurse plus years in the facility. This month marks year 20 that I've had my license and Feb will be year 9 in the building so I was expecting a good bump.
My big raise was 73 cents an hour.
When they first told me I thought he was kidding around and laughed and sat there waiting for the punch line but no, it was .73 an hour.
    I can't wait to retire.

Wow.. can you imagine someone in corporate life accepting a "big raise" of less than a dollar per hour? Why do we accept this kind of crap?

You better be careful, Rusty, that could put you in a whole new tax bracket.

And end up losing more than the raise gave you.

Ooooooh.........seventy-three cents an hour! Where WILL you spend all that filthy lucre, Rusty?

Seriously.........I think I'd tell 'em if they're that poor, they can keep their lousy not-even-six-bits. That's an insult.
