Feeling sorry for myself

  1. I had a cardiolyte stress test yesterday and I did not do well at all. I was told I had an area of ischemia in my heart, also, bundle branch block. I see a cardiologist next week,I'm sure I'll have a cath scheduled. I have had vascular problems in the past but I really thought I was doing well. Thanks for letting me vent,I just need a little encouragement right now.

moonchild, what to say. All those things you say to pts when something like this happens seem inadequate, doesn't it. Remember, knowledge is power. Power is strength. Learn all you can, research your options, and try to think positive. Take care

Oh my, I guess the good thing about the situation is that they discovered it. What kind of symptoms were you having?

Thank you all so much! Oramar I was driving one day and started having palpitations. That didn't worry me too much but they didn't go away then I had some tightness in my chest and a slight bit of pain in my left shoulder.Iwas going through a tunnel and could not stop my car so I had to keep driving.I then broke out in a cold sweat. At that point I thought it might be cardiac. As I got out of the tunnel and could stop my symptoms seemed to decrease somewhat so I decided to see how I felt.By the time I got home I convinced myself that it was just a little stress. Over the next few days I noticed this fatigue that I have never felt before, its hard to explain.I decided to mention it to my doc and she ordered the testing.Looking back I should have gone to the ER that day but like a lot of women I was in denial. I have been caring for my sick parents for months so it was really easy for me to blow it off to stress.I was put on Lopresser bid to calm things down.it has helped some. My plan now is to just take it easy until I see the Cardiologist. I haven't said anything to my folks about this don't want them to worry.Sorry to be lenghty but I have a lot on my mind right now. Thank you all so much for being there for me. Thats one of the things I like so much about this board.
