feeling rotten

  1. Hello again Remember how rotten I said I felt last night? Well, I don't feel much better today. I had the same chest tightness and pain on taking a deep breath, so I took 3 aspirin and lied down for about an hour and the pain backed off. I hope this vanishes as quickly as it came, because I have NO HEALTH INSURANCE!!! NONE NADA,FORGET IT So I essentially can't affford to get sick. And besides who would look after my folks? Things are going much better but this is far from over. Plus the fact that I go back to LPN school for my 4th and last level on Wed. I'll get it together. I have no choice. LOve and Peace to all my friends, Warrior Woman:kiss

Theresa, try an urgent care, they are cheaper than ER and if you let this go you may only have to spend more money later and suffer longer.....good luck...hope you feel better soon...LR

Or your local clinic. You can't be of any use to anyone if you aren't well yourself.

In NJ, we have a program of health insurance for the working poor. It's called family care, but singles can get it too. It is based on your income, so if you make little to no money, you get the most bennies plus Rx plan, if you make more, you have co-pays for doc and Rx. Call your local board of social services and see if they can help you. It's hard to take care of yourself w/o health insurance!! (((Warrior woman)))))

Warrior Woman, what would you tell one of your patients? If you are not physically able, no matter how you push yourself, you WILL NOT be able to finish school or look after your parents, PLUS someone will need to look after you! Please follow the advice that has been given to you. It is more than important-it is your LIFE we are talking about, here!

I second this, TOTALLY! Take care of yourself, you are the most important person to yourself (makes sense, doesn't it?).
