Fear Factor - could you do it?

  1. I finally watched this show for the first time (yeah, yeah, where have I been? ), and sat there just slack-jawed...
Not even for that much money could I eat something's spleen or whatever the heck they stick in that blender and make cocktails out of. YUCK! The high-wire stuff and unlocking yourself from under water I might be able to manage, but that other stuff...*shudder*
    What about you all??

NO way could I stick my head into a tank of snakes, eat disgusting things like cow testicles, hissing cockroaches. YUCK.
The high wire stuff is ok, as I am not afraid of heights and you do wear a safety harness but the snakes, spiders, gross stuff makes me not watch the show.
    Never. Uh uh. No way.

Don't feel bad Maire, I've never watched it either. Just watching it would freak me out!

I saw part of one show where they had to lay in a pit and get scorpions dumped on them. The girl freaked out, and they kept telling her to stay calm! No way could I stay calm with those things crawling on me! She kept brushing herself off and slapping at things even after she was out of there, and all I could think was this girl is going to have post traumatic stress syndrome or something, and if she wins half of her money is going to go to the IRS and the other half for therapy!

Not worth it in my opinion!!

You would have to pay me a lot more than a lousy $50,000, which is what after taxes? $30,000 to do anything as remotely disgusing as eating SLUGS.. and drinking a shot of COW BILE!

And I would still have to really think about it!

My kids love watching that show.. and I usually take an hour off from studying inorder to watch it with them....

They get a kick of watching me GAG and my eyes tear up everytime they have to eat something !

I have the joy of sitting thru this /q monday night. I have a friend that lives for it. It is his favorite show. I sit there and gag. (who thinks up these stunts, bull penises, cockroaches, worms in worm shyt) Oh unless you are a playboy bunny participant, then you have to eat strawberries with flies.) I am afraid of heights, so my pulse elevates with those stunts too. I would not do most of the stunts for any amount of money. I have always wondered if the host would do any of the stunts himself. I do get a kick out of watching the host check out all the female participants. Hey buddy get your eyes back in your head and your tongue back in your mouth. You got a show to do. Otherwise, it certainly can be entertaining, wouldn't you say?

I've seen ads for this. Ewwww....

Makes you wonder about the person/persons who thing up the horrible things for those people to do. Makes *me* wonder anyway.

I watched the slug eating/bile drinking during supper. My husband had to leave the room. I just laugh....esp when they crunch. Or how about the chick that kept rolling the slugs on her arm to get the slime off? Hello! Don't you think you pissed them off and caused them to release more slime? I tell ya....

I can handle watching the show, but when it's time to for them to eat something, I change the channel.
During the summer, I went to Florida with my family , and while eating at a restaurant, they had the show on a TV while people were eating, I'm sorry but I told them to either change the channel or I wasn't paying for dinner.
