favorite websites

  1. What websites, besides this one, of course , do you go to every day, or even every time you get on the computer? Where do you go to play? What games?

My current faves are: jigzone.com, webshots, yahoo games, jt's blocks. I also go to the hunger site q day.

I'm addicted to the games at excite.com. I try to steer clear of it, because I know if I start playing Sweet Tooth I'll be there for a while!

Another fave is catholic-pages.com. I always go and check out the word of the day - very educational!

    Well,

Since I spend so much time on this website, I don't have much time to check out other websites! I do usually check out www.nbc.com to check out the recap for my soap opera "Days of our Lives" cause I only get to watch half of it so I check the website to see what happened in the second half that I missed.

I'm a politics/news junkie. Two sites I visit EVERY day are:

www.boortz.com (Neal Boortz' home page, a libertarian talk radio host)

and www.foxnews.com....can't stomach the clinton news network (cnn)

and of course, the weather channel...

I like to get my laughs online. A day without TopFive.com is like a day without sunshine. And TheOnion.com is never not funny.

Unlike kday, I'm a political humor junkie, so I like to check out the Politically Incorrect transcripts on ABC's website, and Joel Achenbach's "Rough Draft" column on The Washington Post's website.

And I love the quizzes on TheSpark.com.

I have added a hidden page to my website. By hidden, I mean there is no link to it from my web site, though I may make one from my personal page. It's more of a personal thing.

Anyway, it is my pet dedication page. I am not 100% happy with the way it turned out. I am using the built in geocities software, and I would like to make some nicer fonts, have more angels and things, but this was the result of many days and hours of searching for images I liked, etc...and I don't know how to add fonts to this program.

It's not bad for a start anyway.

For those of you who love pets, I have 3 great stories there, Ranibow Bridge part 1 & part 2, and a dog heaven story too. Check it out if you are interested

    My Pet Site

PS Can you tell I got canceled from work today??
PPS I spotted some typos, I will fix another time, if you see any, please let me know, thanks!

Lately my fave has been theknot.com. It is the best wedding planning help website and has made a huge difference in keeping our planning on track (and not forgetting stuff!). Between that and this bulletin board, I hardly look at anything else.

Oh yeah, when I really need a laugh comiczone.com and fbofw.com (I'm a long time For Better or For Worse fan).

I'm also a news junkie and love drudgereport.com -- there are links to all of the big newspapers, entertainment news, columns and political commentary PLUS links to oddball stuff like Weekly World News and The National Enquirer. I usually go there every day.

I also love on-line shopping and am generally bargain hunting for one thing or other. One of my favorites is www.sierratradingpost.com -- they have all kinds of really good clothes and outdoor gear for WAY bargain prices. I "window surf" there every day or two hoping to stumble across the deal of a lifetime.

A few months ago I discovered Garrison Keillor's advice column at Salon.com and now I am addicted to it. New letters are posted weekly.

I used to play the Mind Games at Discovery.com but they eliminated my favorite ones over a year ago and I haven't found anything new that is as intriguing.
