favorite search engines....

  1. I just thought I'd on your favorite search engine. I'm sure we will all learn something

    My favorite search engine: http://www.google.com/
Not only does it provide relevant search results, but much more...

There are many different options of google:
    http://www.google.com/options/

    some of my favorite are:
My absolute favorite is my google toolbar, a must have:
    http://toolbar.google.com/
It is actually a quick download, that installs a toolbar in your browser window, it rocks!

    Images: http://www.google.com/imghp
Great for looking for an image or graphic

Search and browse mail-order catalogs online:
    http://catalog.google.com
I don't really use this, but I think it's really cool. If you're into shopping like my wife is, you'll love it. Searching over 4,800 catalogs with images from the pages etc...

Go ahead and share your favorite search engines

I like Google. More likely to find what I'm looking for with it.

Google's choices in language for your searches are the best. My personal favorite.......Elmer Fudd language!

Love Google, but I didn't get the fancy toolbar. Have to check that out. Is that where the Elmer Fudd Language is? Didn't try their options yet either Brian. One of these days.... But 99% of the time I find what I want with google on the first try.

For Elmer Fudd language (or Klingon or Bork Bork Bork if you prefer), just click on "language tools" just to the right of the box where you type in your search request. When the language tools page comes up, scroll down a bit .

Hey, you have to have some fun when doing research!!

Google is my favorite, too. I use the image search frequently when I am looking for pictures to add some interest to my Power Point presentations for the lectures I do for our critical care course.
