Favorite or ideal vacation

  1. Here's one I am surprised didn't come up yet.

What is your favorite place to vacation?? What do you enjoy to do on your vacation?
(please post vacation pics if you have any)

When I lived in colorado I enjoyed the ski country. Skiing all day then going to those little cabin like clubs where everyone goes when the lifts close.

We went to Brussels this past weekend. It was amazing!

My husband and I were in France and London for 12 days in May. It was amazing. My mother is from France so we visited my family and my cousin and her boyfriend showed us around Normandy where they live. London was cool, too. I hope to be little more fluent when I go back (hopefully soon!) I could very easily live there part time.

You must still be in the glow of vacation since your pictures of Brussels are recent. They're beautiful.

I never got a vacation this year as we are too short staffed on evening shift in my facility. BUT every other nurse on days and night shift got THEIR vacation!!

I haven't had a true vacation since last July! I know this is why I am so stressed out anymore!

Kewl, Myrtle Beach is awesome! My hubby and I went there on our honeymoon in May 1999! We had the best time and it was my best vacation ever!!!!!

Right now my idea of a great vacation would be any vacation that didn't involve driving 850 miles to visit elderly relatives.

The best vacation I have had so far involved just toodling around Wisconsin with my hubby, no itinerary...whoever was driving got to pick where they felt like going. We stuck to the county highways and found lots of interesting stuff off the beaten path. Total serependipity. Very relaxing.

Every year just before Labor Day, my son and I drive to Big Bear Lake; he goes water-skiing, jet skiing, sailing, fishing and I hang out at the hotel and veg, read, whatever. He is totally safe with the US Adaptive rec center and ALWAYS has a great time. We're usually only there 2 nights, but it's just enough for us, and school starts the Tuesday after Labor Day, so it just ends the summer nicely.

The only thing that would make it absolutely perfect would be if I didn't have to drive up that nasty mountain road to get there.

We go up in the winter, too, for snow skiing, but usually it's up in the morning, ski for 1/2 day and back to San Diego that night. Big Bear is 3 hrs in good weather from my house, which is about 1 mile from Mexico.

i have been to every state , but alaska and hawaii (sp). i have also been to mexico, peurto rico, canada, british virgin islands and the american virgin islands.

given everything i have done already........i have to say.......chartering a 55 foot sailboat in the virgin islands was the best. lot's of super clear water, snorkeling, scuba, good weather......good food, and drinks!!!! :d it would be kind of a toss up though? thinking that again or the beach somewhere...depends.....lol!

Mine would be holing up in some beautiful log cabin in the mountains of Montana, with slightly cool weather, and plenty of horses to ride and books to read.

Can't forget the bottle of red either.
