My girls all loved Cinderella! They also loved for me to read them a book called "Little Visits With God" every evening before they went to bed. It gave us a chance to interact with one another as we four snuggled together closely while winding down for the evening. :kiss

My mother NEVER read to her children, so I don't remember any bedtime stories as a child.

It's a Christian story book for children that has different stories in it about various issues children encounter in their lives. At the end of every chapter are questions to discuss that help children to participate in the moral of each story. My kids loved that book...maybe because they were able to share their own personal thoughts about each story read. You can find it in any Christian bookstore. There may even be a series of books. I'll try to find them for you, and let you know when I do.

My favorite is a book by Rober Munsch called "Love You Forever". It's a short story about a mother and her son as he grows through each stage in his life... I cry every time I read it!

this was read by a mom at a funeral for her son wh o committed suicide...one of the most touching, heartwrenching things...next in line after the sight of the wife/widow, curled up onthe pew in a fetal position, sobbing hysterically...
