Ever make an impulse buy cause you were totally pizzed?

  1. Hi folks. My mom and I had a frustrating day. Went back to her Surgeon's to re eval her hip. He sez that pins are shifting a little bit and that she should not bear much weight on the rt. leg. Okay fine. But how big a shift? a little? a lot? what? He just said it bears keeping an eye on. No duh genius!!! Really did it take him 16 years of Med school to figure that out? Sorry, just a bit pissy today, but that's okay it'll pass. Anyway, those incompetent turds at Med Corp kept us waiting for 90 mins. to be picked up. And the driver they sent...... Well, that's a whole other thread. But I'm pretty sure she had pot in her system, there was that sickly sweet smell that permeated the whole van, and forget about concentrating on the road. She was reading and marking off her trip sheet while barreling down the highway! No joke guys!! Anyway, after we finally get back and have lunch, on my way home I spy a little western apparel store and thought I'd just mosey thru the aisles. Yeah right. I ended up buying a great pair of black leather slouch cowboy boots. But wait, that's not all. I decided my boots looked a little lonely and boring so I dressed them up with silver toe tips, silver heel protectors, and fancy boot braclets that look like an indian choker. Way cool!! $200.00 later, my anger is gone and I have an awesome pair of boots. I gotta cut up my credit cards or go to anger mgt!!! Love to all, WW.

Sounds like a pretty bad day, aside from the boots.

As an owner of a real pair of cowboy boots, good boots are always a good investment. I've had mine for about 6 years.

The women in my family have an infinity for furniture. Someone close to the family moves away or leaves for college, we say good bye and go buy a new coffee table. Death of a pet or a loved one, that's whole new living room suite.

$200.00 is a chunk of change, but everyone needs their vices.

You got out of a boot store only spending $200.?
    Not bad.
My last pair of lizard skins were about 3 bills.

Ever get mad at home and go to QVC for solace. How much can a person spend on Joan Rivers jewelry....how angry could I possibly have been!!!!!!

I have been missing my cowboy boots lately. Good choice.

I never really got the attraction a lot of people have for "Western" gear, bit I did see some really cool stuff at Lou Tauber's, a terrific store in Casper, WY.

That's called "retail therapy". Very therapuetic. I do it all the time. It's worse with the internet. I'm very impulsive.

Shopping is bandaids for my soul!!! Nothing wrong with that!!!!

Hey, shopping beats running naked through the streets, going postal, or generally being rude, crude and socially unacceptable. I agree, $200 on a great pair of boots, you did very well.

Yup, that's why I peruse Dollar General or Meijer...NOT the mall I shop when I'm depressed or mad & whoa can it be dangerous....

Hope tomorrow's better & your boots fit nice

Yep, I did it last year when I drove 3 hours for divorce court and it was cancelled. Except I went out and bought a car!!!! It wasn't the smartest decision I've ever made. High mileage and high dollar due to my bad credit. Oh well....it is still running.....

Used to buy lingerie whenever I was upset. I have since gotten over this. Now I try to work it out. Usually the money you spend just makes you feel worse a month later (or sooner.)
