Drinking out of the milk carton!!

  1. Okay, 3 out of 5 people in this household have been sick for two weeks. Me, my husband, and my 13 y/o son have all been fighting tonsillitis, bronchitis, ear aches, sinus infections and so on. Between the 3 of us there has been 5 trips to the doctor, 5 different antibiotics, missed work days, and just basically feeling like crap.

So just a few minutes ago I caught my 13 y/o (aka Typhoid Mary) drinking out of the blasted milk carton. Thank you very much!!
Damn, I have been trying to get everyone to wash there hands often, cover their mouths when coughing and sneezing, and other basic healthwise practices. And I am being undermined by a 13 y/o germ-laden kid!! Geesh! I just about went berserk! After I yelled at him for spreading his germs around, I yelled at his Dad for teaching him and his brothers such disgusting habits.

Does anyone else's family do this dumbarse stuff? My Mother would have killed me if I would have even thought about drinking out of the milk carton!! Or is this something that is specific to boys and men and I am just outnumbered? (Thanks for letting me let off some steam!!)

I get the 4L jugs so it's doubtful with my 7yr old. I'll have to keep an eye on hubby though...

That's gross. That definitely was not allowed in my house growing up. But then again, we were three perfect girls...

Trust me I don't allow it either, but when I am undermined by the senior ranking male in the house, I kind of have my hands tied. Maybe I will have to take away some "privileges" for the oldest male in the house until I get my way. (If you get my drift).

I got busted drinking out of the kool-aid pitcher (it was cherry) and Robin called me Lucas!(my boy) and we had a good laugh about it.
She also blames me for my sons not picking up their clothes. She has always had this strange idea about clothes. She thinks that all clothes should either be in a drawer, on a hangar or in a hamper.

I walked into the kitchen to see my oldest son with a spoon eating out of a pot of chili right from the stove the other day. I can't believe he came out of my womb. I can't even drink after anyone ewww.
Yes Rusty many people prefer their clothes in drawers, I am happy if they make it to the laundry basket and are at least setting in theright room.

My stepson is terrible about that. I ask him not to but he keeps doing it. If I see him doing it I dump the entire thing down the sink and don't buy any for a few days. Makes me sick........

My mom caught me doing that 1 Time. After that she made me buy my own milk. Then I could do it all I wanted....lol. Of course after about 3 times I decided it was easier to pour it than buy my own.

( I still do it sometimes....lol......but I live by myself, so....eh only my germs now!)
