1. The radio one. People either HATE her or LOVE her. I am in between. I agree with much of what she says, but I take it with a few grains of salt. What has me really sad tonight is that after much arguing with myself, I finally bought he new book The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands. I just had to see for myself how I souldn't be "one of those horrid, nagging women types" she talks of (and quite loudly!). Well, I AM
Now, no I am not the worst one, and hubby is by no means perfect, but I am secretly reading her book(under the covers at night) and am willing to change MY nono behaviors. I have become complacent after almost a 15 year marraige to a solidly great guy who wants to alternately smooch me then strangle me for my sarcastic remarks! Wish me luck!!!!!!

I agree with some of the things she says, to a point. Some of her judgemental attitude ruffles my feathers, therefore, i won't listen to her.

I'm with you, LPN2Be2004. I don't think one has to be cruelly blunt in order to get a point across. (yes, we've all worked with SOMEONE who wouldn't get it otherwise, doesn't know the meaning of the words "gentle hint" or "tact," but my mind would shut off if even well-intentioned and true words were spoken to me as is her way.

She has a terrible way of stating some very good points I agree too. I always pray she will learn some manners since what she says is basiclly good stuff. I don't want it thought that I am her greatest fan or anything. I just take what helps ME in my life and ignore her sillyness and screeching.

I actually like her and agree with most of her points . . .the one I don't agree with is that she wouldn't let her son play football because it is too violent.

My football coach hubby isn't crazy about that one either. :chuckle

To be fair, she only has a few minutes to get her point across and sometimes people who call in are pretty dense and she has to cut through that. Plus, people don't like to be told what to do. It ruffles their feathers. And they really don't like it when someone is firm in their convictions.
