Dogs do get even

  1. Gotta share this one. I have a huge black lab shephard dog. Big baby, but he hates baths. We usually have to take him to groomer because he puts up such a fuss. Well, being bored this weekend, I decide I would take it upon myself to wash him. I put some warm water in the kiddie pool, drag him outdoors. He is howling like there's no tomorrow. I wash him and rinse him, all the while is crying and carrying on like its the worst thing in the world. When I finish, I dry him off, let him back in the house, and give him rawhide chew for being a good boy. But wait...he get even with me. He runs into the livingroom, takes a big poo then proceeds to roll in it. I should have know better. I thought Labs liked water.

Did I wash him again??? Betta beleive it. He was really sorry then. I will admit, after his second bath, he hightailed it upstairs to hide and dried himselfoff all over my bedspread. He is actually quite a character. I'll post more on him later. I could write I book on him. He is my first ever dog and boy did I make some big mistakes with him.. I love him to bits. I consider him my first "baby". keep an eye out for further postings on him. Berta

OMG! You **must** love that dog!

My German Shepherd absolutely hates water too. She has even tried to rescue ME from the bathtub. I take her to the groomer because it is not worth the hassle of trying to wash her ourselves. She doesn't actually fight me but she is just so miserable during a home-bath, I can't stand it. And, of course, we have to do it outside due to her size (about 90 lbs) and all that HAIR on that dog.
