does anyone know the name of this song?

  1. Hi, I KNOW I can count on you my friends to help me here??

The song goes..."To know, know, know him , is to love, love, love him, and I do...yes I do..."

These are just some of the words. Who sings this?

    "Just to see him smile
    Makes my life worthwhile
    To know, know, know him
Is to love, love love him
    And I do
    Yes I do"

OK, this is a REALLY old song, and I THINK the original version is by Peter and Gordon, circa 1965 or '66.

Of course, they sang it as "To know, know know YOU
Is to love, love, love you....

I remember every word to that original version. I don't know which female artists have sung it.

OH!!!! I just reread the post and realized you only wanted the NAME of the song. I beleive it is "To Know You Is To Love You."

Phil Spector, who was married to Ronnie of The Ronnettes, wrote the song; he was responsible for the founding of most of the girl groups back then. It must have been one of his girl groups that did it.

Are you looking for a more recent girl version than that vintage?

Het watch who you`re calling OLD..... Can`t remember which group did it, but came out around 1958 or 59.....Why ? Because I was in Jr. high then, and this was our favorite song for all of 10 min or so..... Not Dusty, tho...

The group was called The Teddy Bears. I think they were one of those one-hit wonders back in the early '60s, when I was very young but had an older sister who played all this stuff on the hi-fi (OMG, am I really old enough to remember the hi-fi?!) and watched "American Bandstand" & "Shindig".

    Damn I'm good!

Actually, I'm not sure why I knew that---I was probably 4 or 5 years old when that song came out---but I've always had this thing about associating certain music with a specific time of my life. When I'm given the name of a song or some of the lyrics, I can usually come up with both the correct singer or group, plus the approximate year it came out. No big deal, but I'd probably do pretty well if I ever went on "Jeopardy" and this was one of the categories.

    Glad to be of help.

    Does anyone use kaza?
You go to and click on mp3 then download kaza, (a p to p software sharing program) and then you search the name of the song or as much of the exact title/artist as you know. Then you can do a google search for lyrics and the name of the song and have the actual lyrics in front of you while you listen to your song!

I know the song, but I'm bad with titles. "I do"? "To know him is to love him"?

Older sister used to traumatize me as a young child by playing 50's and 60's music repeatedly. I still feel rage when I hear Roy Orbison and the Beach Boys.

I just entered "To know him is to love him" into google and got this. I don't know if these are the original artists or not.
