I wish I could put up decorations, but my house is entirely too messy and cluttered at this point.

My wonderful dh and son put up our tree & decorated it 11/17!!! I watched - too spaced out from sleep deprivation to actually participate in a meaningful way. But I did manage to put the bow on our front door a couple days ago...:chuckle

Hubby put our stuff up last Saturday, I wrapped presents and now they are all under the tree.

Nope - Thanksgiving stuff is still out. Pumpkins, leaves, a wreath my 6 year old made.

Yup.........did you ever know me NOT to put up the Christmas stuff before the Thanksgiving leftovers were cold? HAHAHA!!!!!!!!

Every year I say I'm not gonna do it, I'll wait at least till December 1st, and every year I make a liar out of myself. There's some in my neighborhood who put their decorations out BEFORE Thanksgiving, which I deplore because Thanksgiving deserves its own celebration. But man, once that turkey is in the fridge and I stop feeling like an overstuffed sofa, I'm out in the garage digging for the Christmas boxes..........It used to take us four days to decorate, but we've cut back on lighting in recent years due to the astronomical power bills, and now we're done in two. (It helps when you don't drape lights over anything that will stand still.) Still, it takes a lot of work, so that's one of the reasons we do it so early---it just isn't worth it if you only have the decorations up for a couple of weeks. LOL

I bought a 1' Christmas Tree and manger. That's it. I can't put anything in the windows. I love putting the Christmas lights on and turning everything else off. When it's quiet, you get a real sense of what Christmas is really about.

The manger was always the centerpiece in my parent's house and it isn't Christmas without it.

We are planning to put the tree up this weekend. I like to wait until the first of December at least. The tradition in Holland is to put the tree up the day before Christmas and take it down the day after. Too much work for such little time to enjoy IMHO.

I don't do Christmas decorations....but my dad is already well on his way, with the tree up with decorations and his Christmas lights up as well.

:stone Same here. Maybe next weekend a few things. Still stuck in "end of summer" mode here for some reason. Just not getting into it this year.

I'm in the middle of, for some unknown reason, washing the walls in my living room. :smackingf

Maybe when I get my living room put back together . . . . I'll think about Christmas decorations. Right now, all the furniture is moved to the middle of the room and the pictures are off the walls. What a mess.
