Do you take vitamins?

  1. If so, do you take them everyday and what kind? I try so hard to take mine daily (one a day multi-vitamin, 2 calcium, B vit) but I always forget!

    have you heard that some vitamins have been found undigested in stool? Does anyone know which brand these are?

    Yes, I am a vitamin taking fool from a WAAAAAAY back.
    I take a multi, Vit B complex, Vit C, Calcium, Evening Primrose Oil, Flaxseed Oil, MSM and Juice Plus.
    Don't know about the undigested vitamins.

    I take "women's mega ultra vitamin" from GNC, it definately makes a difference I can tell from other vitamins I've taken in the past, I feel groggy if I miss a day. *a side note about saving money again* get a GNC card and shop in the first 7 days of each month and you save 20%

    One-A-Day Women's MVI seem to be one of the few I found w/a fair amt of calcium, folate, Vit E. Easy to swallow and they agree w/me. I actually use a mediset so I don't forget 'em QD!

    I take a Multi-vit and mineral (not "mega"), 500 mg Vit C (1000 to 1500 if I feel a cold coming on), 400 mg Vit E, 1000-1200 mg Calcium, and my husband takes 200 mcg Selenium in addition for prostate health. (A local Urologist is participating in a study of Vit E and Selenium taken to prevent Prostate cancer and hubby's father had prostate Ca, so although he was too young to be part of the study, he's taking the two supplements preventively.)

    I take a centrum with antioxidants, E, two C a day, B12 three times a week (I am a vegetarian) and two skin, hair and nails vitamins at night.

    I'm with hiker. I take the wal-mart equivalent of one-a-day because of the calcium and folate content. I have no problem remembering to take it daily because I take it with my birth control pills!

    oh yes- take glucosoamine for my knees and cod liver oil plus multivitamins!! at least my knees are better!

    400 iu vitamin E qd; 1 MVI qd; 2 grams of C tid.

    MultiVitamin with Ginseng, Ginkgo, and High levels of Five essential B I take cranberry pills.

    You musta read my mind. I was just thinking about starting this same thread. I take my vitamins 4 or 5 times a week. I do it on purpose that way because I heard of potential toxcity from daily use. Here is what I take. Right now I am taking a Centurm Silver 2Xweekly. The other 3 days I take B complex, vitamin E and C, magnisium ,corral calcium and Cod Liver oil gel caps(that would be A&D). Like I say every 2 or 3 days I take an off day from my vitamins. Just recently got a big order from Puritans Pride. I will be replacing my all my vitamins with a Puritans Pride brand. I find I have made one mistake on the order. I bought a E gelcap with only alpha tocopherols. I am returning it for a E-Complex that also has gamma and delta tocopherols. I have read that gamma tocopherol is the one that you really need. By the way I am thinking of adding lutein. It is in the multi vitamins but I am thinking maybe it should be a 4 or 5 times a week thing. If you wonder why I ain't taking just a multi vitamin and mineral supplement it is because I can't take the iron. Even everyday vitamins of any kind seem to give me digestive problems.
