Do you ever wear a girdle?

  1. O. K. It's 1:45 AM. My ONE and ONLY patient is safely sleeping with his heart a-beating. . . currently 54 BPM.

    And I'm BORED!!!

    So . . . . . .

As you probably know. . . and even if you don't. . . my wife and I own a small production company. We produce musical comedies. Well, our small performing troupe who performs "on stage" is made up of one woman and two men (I do the sound, so I'm not on stage.)

One of our numbers is titled "Three Little Girls from Nursing School" Another number is titled "Nursing Queen".

Ummmm. . . Just so that you know, there is only ONE GIRL (my wife) on stage!!!! So, needless to say, the boys have to . . . how can I say this. . . dress in drag in order to perform "Three Little Girls from Nursing School". And the performer who stars in the skit, "Nursing Queen". . . a guy! Real ugly too! :chuckle :roll

Well. . . this guy decided that he didn't want to be real ugly! He's a great performer with a wonderful sense of humor. And a great friend. . . until he reads this thread. . . And, I guess he's a bit self conscious with his tummy's "love handles". So, to help "beautify" himself . . . especially for the role as "Nursing Queen". . . he purchased himself a girdle. Hey, his dress looked great when he wore it!!! He looked so much . . . less ugly! :chuckle

So. . . We all try to look our best at times. There are countless ways to help improve our looks! Wear wigs, dye our hair, put on make-up, wear sheen-looking nylon stocking and wear girdles! We have to look pretty when they're on stage. And as you know, the whole world is a stage!

With this in mind, do you ever wear a girdle to just help keep those "love handles" a bit more out of the way???

By the way, this question and this poll is NOT necessarily directed just towards women!!!

I prefer the word Curvaceous. But yeah, I throw a girdle on for VERY special occasions to hold the flab in. Last occasion was for my brother's wedding last October for which I played Bridesmatron!

My Grandmother wears this rediculous girdle, like 24/7. It's like a bathing suit and does up with hooks at the crotch. She's always complaining that they're so hard to find now a days (um, yeah Grandma -- who else wears these things?). I can't help but weep for the poor girdle companies that will perish once her generation is gone.

DANG TED dear you are bored. Anyhow I have never worn a girdle...and my figure is FAR from perfect. I cannot imagine tucking all my lumps and bumps into something that looks just like pure Scarlett O'hara-like torture just to LOOK GOOD. Makes no sense to me whatever.

I just wear the "girdle" shorts things when I have on a nice outfit that I don't want my belly hanging out of.
