i don't think it helps anyone for women who don't want to have babies to be denied birth control.

I have a very conservative view as to when life begins - at fertilization. So no, I do not participate in the distribution of Plan B at my ER.

Hummmm......I read that there was an increase of infection after using this. It resulted in pt's deaths. Found the article in the local newspaper a while back. I question it's safety. I do believe that a woman should be able to obtain some sort of emergancy birth control in cases of rape.

I agree 100%. But I dont know if I can take another heated debate on this subject.

Yes...I agree. No debate on pro-choice vs pro-life here. My issue is the safety of the drug. Anyone else hear about complications from Plan B-ER contraceptive pill?

Yes. As if there aren't already enough unwanted children in this world already. People claim that the Plan B gives a sense of irresponsiblilty, but the side effects are so unpleasent that I doubt that any female in her right mind would use it as her primary birth control.

It greatly irks me when people preach about life being holy and how "killing" fetuses is wrong, yet these same people don't make the connection between growing up neglected by underprepared parents and a future life of crime. I'm also disgusted at the hypocrisy of anti-abortionists in the aspect that as much as they scream murder, they would NEVER think to adopt any of the millions of unwanted children in this world, especially crack babies, FAS babies, babies brain damaged by abuse, HIV positive babies, or even perfectly healthy babies of other races.

I disagree with Plan B. I think all women who do not want to get pregnant should use a method of birth control. So many are avalilable. We are not limited to the methods our grandmothers had. I do think that pharmacists who object to distributing Plan B for moral reasons should not be required to dispense Plan B. Abortion is abortion from the time of conception. In America we all have a right to our own opinion.

Yes, but thats not with all women that take it and the most common side effect is nausea.... Every pill has side effects so if someone was thinking they would not take a med just because of the possible side effects.. they are not going to take anything ever.
