Distance to work

  1. How far/long do you drive to get to work? I have to drive about 70miles/1 1/4hr each way to get to work and wondered if anyone else drives this far or farther.

I can't move any closer since I live with my elderly parents and am needed at home more than I need to move closer to work.

I never work at a place that is more than 30 minutes TOPS driving distance from where I live. I don't like to drive '4ever' to get to work or home, so the closer I live between the two places, the better.

I listen to books on tape. I love to drive, it gives me time to gear up before work and time to wind down after work.

i am moving closer because....i still live with my parents! and i figure hey...now is as good a time as any, right?
let's not pile to many stressors on at once, studying for boards, starting a career (on my limited permit) and moving out of my house for the first time...it's gonna be a long month!

I only live 10 miles from work, but it takes me anywhere from 30 -45 minutes to get home. I have a beautiful commute across the Narrows Bridge over Puget Sound, but it is a serious bottleneck! Now they are talking about making it a toll bridge in order to build a wider bridge. 3 dollars each way!!!!! I think I am glad to be moving to Texas!

I take it you have lived or visited Texas before???? I live here now, and can't wait to move far far away where I never have to return to this state ever again.

Half a block away. Drove to work once in a pouring rain.

I was in Ft Worth for 4 years for college, 2 years in San Antonio and I married a Texan. It actually feels like home!

Door-to-door.....15 minutes ..... 3 redlights *and the last one doesn't count cause it's a right turn*....less than 5 miles. I get ready and get to work in 1/2 hour.

I buy gas once a month.

    AND I LOVE IT!!!
