Disaster

  1. So normally I'm not one to complain especially about trivial thins. However, I went into my salon today, the same one I've been going to for a year and half. I just wanted my normal allover color and roots. The lady pulls out my card goes to mix up the dye. Ok so I ALWAYS get my haired dyed red, a really pretty red that I love and they are so good about getting it right.

I now have black hair. Um yeah so now I have to get bleach to lighten my hair because someone decided not to do their job properly. I know it's just hair but I PAID them because they are the "experts". I paid them my hard earned money to get a service and now I'm going to have to damage my hair further and pay a butt load of money to get it fixed. I just wanted to look nice before I went home to see my family, now I'm Morticia Adams (I'm already freakishly pale) , lol guess I'm ready for Halloween early though.

Oh and my roots are red.

Anyone else have hair disaster stories?

Just a disaster of my own doing.

I regularly highlight my light red hair blonde. Looks really pretty. I decided to highlight it myself.

It turned my hair orange. Crayola orange! Had to make an emergency trip to the salon where everyone got a good laugh at my disaster. Since then, I always go to the salon and I always see the same woman. We graduated hs together and she has never once butchered my hair.

Not my story, but my 2 year old niece Emma has gorgeous strawberry blonde hair with natural curls - ringlets. My sil took her to get a trim, her hair was past her shoulders. She came out looking like a boy. No curls in sight and hair is about an inch long. So sad to see those curls gone. Sil was furious. She said 'trim' not butcher!

Why are you paying for the correction? You didn't get what you asked from and someone screwed up somewhere.

I've been going to the same woman for 4 years. Hair looks great, i always get what i wanted, and i'm very happy with it.

Funny - my daughter has gorgeous auburn hair . . .and she hates it. The latest dye job is dark dark brown with blonde streaks . . . . she did the Morticia Adams look and the Cruella Deville look.

    Oh, and bleach blonde.

    She is very pale too.

    Hard to be a mom sometimes . . . .

Why are you paying??They had better fix your hair to YOUR liking at there expense or you may just have to sue them or take them to small claims court!! If there is too much damage to your hair, you would need to consider a suit anyway.
They are responsible for this mess, not you.

Oh bless your heart I think I would have just sat and cried if it were me! Hope you get it looking more like you love it.

You shouldn't be paying for a correction. They should be doing it for free.

I agree with all the others. If they made the mistake, you shouldn't have had to pay for it.

    Let's see. Hair disasters...

Dyeing my hair period. My hair is naturally thick/poofy and reacts really strangely to the chemicals in the dye. I would be lying if I said my hair didn't look like Marie's afro doggie avatar during the time I was dyeing my hair. :uhoh21:

Anyhoo, as for dye jobs, I've dyed my hair black before. Yes, on purpose. The color honestly didn't look bad (until my medium ashy brown roots would become visible, that is), and I have pale skin with cool undertones. I've also gone auburn red, which I loved.

    Aww shucks , Thanks!

I did get it fixed by my awesome friend, a little low concentration bleach and a red dye and I look like myself, almost.
