Digital Cameras

  1. My bf and I went shopping the other day and picked up a new digital camera. They are soooo cool. Got a Sony P8 Cyber-Shot. 3.2 megapixels and the thing is sooo tiny. It even records up to a minute and a half of video.

Not being the type to read directions first, we've been playing w/ it the last few days and taking pictures of EVERYTHING. The resolution and color is so great. Just have to figure out how to make the pictures a bit smaller so I can post them hhere (it keeps saying the pics are too large to post). As if you guys really wanted to see more deranged pictures of my dog, lol!

What kinds of cameras are you all using?

I have a Cannon PowerShot and I love it. I'm not sure of the pixels, but the large size is fine with me. I don't want too much detail, LOL. It's fun that at the large size I can take 22 pictures or at the small take almost 100. No need for large bunches of film while on vacation and just delete those I don't want.

Here's a recent family potrait taken the other day. I'm on the left, that's spouse, and dog. (Take at the large pixel)

    3rdShiftGuy,
You and yours are at my favorite picnic spot! I love Ft. D. That is where you are in the pic, isn't it?

Thanks for the nice compliments. Flowerchild that's right! I adore Ft. DeSoto, it's my favorite spot on earth. Except the bugs were out as the day progressed to evening. I love it because there are no condos or hotels. Makes me feel like I'm at the "islands" somewhere.

Wow!! I'm amazed you could tell where this photo was taken. All I see in the background are palms. Are these rare palms indiginous to only one place on earth?

Thanks! Pretty good huh!?! They are standing at the very spot that is one of my favorite picnic areas. The palms are not just in that area, they are all over the state, including the northern areas. I recognize it due to the lay of the land and water. Very observant nurse here lol. I'm also a native who loves to be outdoors and has been all over this beautiful state. ;-)

BTW, the last time I was at that spot, I got to swim with a manatee! It was so cool!
FYI, the palm with the spikey look is a cabbage palm, good to eat!

Oh, and my new camera, got it last week, is so neat! It takes great pics, has input to my computer and VCR, takes hundreds of pics saved to a memory card, takes long videos, has a color pop out screen on the side to see the pics and videos plus for replay, and is way smaller than my Cannon. Best part, it only cost $120!
I still like my AE1 though, and use it when I really want supurb quality professional looking photos.

You have to have them uploaded on a server first. Then you can use the IMG botton to place them on your post.
