Did Anyone watch the show "The Pulse" tonight?

  1. Before I sign off for the night, I wanted to start this post to ask if anyone saw the television show "The Pulse" tonight? There were several different topics....two of which are mind blowing...to say the least, so thought this would be a good post to ponder some of that which is making history right before our eyes in this beautiful country of ours.

Two of the topics on the show tonight were:

(1)....O'Reilly was interviewing the doctor who is raising all the stink about the Pledge and Money containing the word GOD.

(2)....Geraldo Rivera was interviewing a lot of people who had direct contact with terrorists already in this country....by way of Mexico... One of the Arabs who had entered through that route stated that "the best way to get to the American people and take them down is not on the OUTSIDE of the country, but on the INSIDE, and that they are HERE in RECORD NUMBERS already to do some serious damage." :stone

Soooooo..........what do ya think, guys and gals? What's your take on this..........especially on Rivera's findings during his trip out of country, etc.???

    Nighty-night! Sweet dreams!
    :kiss :zzzzz :zzzzz

I didn't see the show, rarely watch TV.
But, you need to remember that Geraldo Rivera is basically a scum sucking lawyer who likes to sensationalize recent events and keep his name in the spotlight. Afterall, he gave up a TV show to "cover" the initial stages of the operations in Afganistan. That seems to be behind him, now that it is not nearly as newsworthy.
I would not believe 90% of his "reporting", and disregard the other 10%.

MMMMMMMMM.......very interesting, Bob! Very interesting indeed! So.......what is your personal take on terrorists infiltrating America "from the inside" of our country vs. "the outside"..........and do you think the Sept.11th tragedy was used as a "Diversion" to allow the terrorists time to "get into position" more in our homeland.....knowing all the while that American's focus would be completely focused on the tragedy itself? Are we being completely "Blindsighted" by terrorists or do you think we have a handle on them that they are not yet aware of?

We watched the pulse last night. It was the only thing that was on. We laughed at Bill O'Reilly skwering that doctor who kept saying the we as a nation we impeding on his religion and what exactly the definition of an atheist was.

It may have been slightly better than Fact or Fiction. This summer the only thing that I have watched on Fox is Looking for love and American Idol. I can't help it, I am addicted to cheesy reality shows. Bring back Temptation Island.

That's quite a scary thought though. I figure it's gonna get worse before it gets better.

ha! i'm soooooo into realty t.v. these days myself! i absolutely luv them! i love to watch american idol, survivors, big brother, real world...use to love the temptation island but it's no longer on....and most recently, i watched every single episode of the alaskan bride show. heck...if it aint real...i'm not much into watching it anymore....except for the comedies. i love comedy...real or fiction.

i loved how o'reilly stuck to his guns with that doctor. he was relentless.....as only o'reilly can be. :chuckle

the other topic on last night's "the pulse" was about that attorney who stoled from his dead clients and was living like a millinaire off of their assets. wasn't that mindblowing! talk about being sick....yuckee! he fooled all of his family, friends, and co-workers. i was married to one of those creeps...someone who was reeaaallly good at his game...shocked us all!
    :d

And the guy whose raising a stink about the pledge should get a life! I don't get how it could be 'unconstitutional' just because he disagrees with it!

I love reality shows also. I just wish I had more time to watch them- I'm a student (sniff, sniff)

Thanks knowlegzseekr! I enjoy sharing them.....anything to make others laugh at life......we're always too serious, don't you think? There's a time to be serious...and there's a time NOT to be serious. :chuckle

The only reason I HAVE the time to watch those shows.....any shows for that matter.....is because right now I am NOT working out of the home.....kids are grown.....dogs snoozing in his bed....hubby's soldiering around the country.......and so here I sit...with a ballchain around my ankle tied to the computer.

Hmmmm...I wonder if my chain is long enough for me to get to the kitchen........I sure am hungry...:chuckle

So.......what is your personal take on terrorists infiltrating America "from the inside" of our country vs. "the outside".
The following opinion is mine, and does not necessarily represent the opinions of the administrator, moderators, or any one else on this board.....had to get that out of the way.

Are there terrorists in the US at this time?
    You better believe it!
Our policy of open borders and the decimation of the intelligence gathering communities under the previous administration made it very easy to get into the US, and more importantly, to remain here after the Visa period was up.
We have become a country of people who do not know their neighbors, much less the people in the town. This alone makes it very easy for terrorists, or anyone for that matter, to remain in place. As long as there is no reason for the different alphabet agencies to suspect them, the neighbors sure as heck aren't going to.

I also believe that many people in the US have become jaded to the effectiveness of any law enforcement agency, so they do not bother to report suspicious activities. For many people 9/11 is already a distant memory. They have gone back to business as usual.
The war against terrorism barely rates a mention on the national news anymore. It is really a shame, but as soon as the first "dirty bomb", or homicide bomber goes off in a major population center, then the people of the US will wake up and see the only way to prevent these occurances will be to have every one become hyper-vigilant, and be willing to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
I like to think that I am already in that mode, I know who lives on my street, I don't keep my head buried in the sand when I am out and about, but watch as much as I can. Perhaps it is because of some of the places I used to visit while in the Navy, there were people who thought it would be a major coup' to take out a van load of sailors, or their airplane and then brag about it. at one time we were confined to our hotel with armed guards protecting the hotel because the Palestenian terrosists had made a direct threat against us, and this was a long time ago. Terrorism is not new, it is just new to the US.
