I didn't so much gain weight, but NSGing school is when the lovely lipid levels started to rise. By the time I started BSN I was already on two medications for it...

Don't worry about weight gain during nursing school. I promise you, you WILL work alot of it off when you hit the floor. Lets not forget the fact you may never have time for lunch again

    Take care, and welcome aboard!

Actually I think I lost weight. When I'm stressed out I gain. When I am super-stressed I can't even eat and I lose.

i think i gained some for the same reasons, eating junk whenever, and never having time, but when i started working, the stress level went up and i think i lost it. Doesnt help that the hospital is so busy....hahah iy may catch up with me in a few years though if my bad habits continue!

OK, I added 60# to an already overweight body---I run my tail off all day--and still haven't lost it!!!!!! (Of course it couldn't be that I live out of a snack machine and Dr Pepper)

I gained weight during nursing school. Sitting down during those long lectures, eating on the run and stress!!! I need to drop every pound that is equal to every pound my books weigh! Then I will be ok!!

I gained, but it was my mum's fault (yeah right). I moved in with her and she loves to cook, and she used to make me nachoes every night. The first diet I ever went on in my life was when I lived her her during nursing school. But I'm also a stress eater. I was comforting to eat every night while stressing over care plans.

I gained weight in NP school. I was so stressed the last year and a half with clinical and papers that I gave up on regular exercise.
    Unfortunately, I didn't change what I ate.

Didn't gain weight in nursing school...I was younger(better metabolism) and we actually had 3 yrs of phys ed as part of the curriculum...so you were pretty fit!
