did anyone catch Dr. Sue on tv last night.

  1. dr sue advised a 25 y.o. man who is now blind, and has lost taste and sensation. she told him to ask nurses to talk dirty to him for his pleasure. i felt any respect we may have been gaining, is now gone. what are your thoughts about this?

Are you talking about the show on the Oxygen channel, "Talk Sex With Sue"? Usually it is a pretty good (if not funny at times) program. If she did say that, it's a big disappointment. For anyone who's interested, here's her website - www.talksexwithsue.com My husband can't stand to watch it, she looks an awful lot like his mother and I think that just freaks him out. :chuckle

If i'm not mistaken, Sue is not a doctor but she's a R.N.

Sue Johhanson, RN is the host for the show "Talk Sex" or Talk Sex with Sue, it is usually an informative show, she gives advice r/t sex issues.

Hey! I remember this lady. I saw her once on TV while staying at a friends house. All my friends were familair with who she was and I was like, "Is this a joke? These aren't real people calling in to ask how to have better sex???" She just looked so serious and methodoligical while giving advice, I thought it must be a joke.

No, I don't think it is in the duties or functions of a nurse to talk dirty to patients.

Maybe this is besides the point that the OP was trying to make I guess, but if the man has lost all taste and all peripheal sensation, how would talking dirty be stimulating to him at all? Not sure how qualified a doctor Dr. Sue is.

i wrote to her website and shared my outrage, if it was true. "randy" responded to me that my "outrage was pointless because sue would NEVER say anything so outrageous."..... misunderstanding somewhereh huh?

no, not misunderstood. it was this past sunday nights show, it was prerecorded, so i don't know the actual date this was recorded. she said since she was a nurse, she could say this, and speak for other nurses. i wouldn't make this up, believe me, it quickly got my attention! the guy said he had had some really nice nurses during his recovery, and would check with them and see if any were willing. her "people" should really pay more attention to what the content is.
