    Good morning Bethin!

Work - a lot of confused patients on this floor tonight - also Golytely prep....what fun .....

My sister broke up with her best friend of the last 6 years this week. I know it's not quite the same, but she was really down this morning when I talked to her about it. She deleted her from her friends list on my space and also deleted all her comments. One of the things I know they argued about was me, my ex, and his loser friends......

    Morning bethin and DG!

Sorry to hear about your sister DG, it can be harder to lose a friend than a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Actually got home earlier than expected last night...my register actually balanced on the first try! Now I've got to brace myself for the rigors of Senior Citizens day and a very early start.

Thanks Joe - I know I am not the cause of her breaking up with her friend, but I contributed to it. G. (my sister's friend) just refuses to be an adult and she has treated my sis badly....and feeling like she can do that to others because she is in a bad mood.

Just hope sister feels better soon.

DG, hope your sister is ok. I know from exeprience that losing a friend is worse than losing a boyfriend.

Instead of sleeping, I finally threw away the packing boxes and cleaned the br and tub. Now I'm ready for sleep. Lots of snow this am.

    Thanks Bethin -

BTW, can you get rid of the snow before I get back into town??

I would if I could. I hate snow.

Isn't the Pacific NW having flooding problems? Heard on the news it's supposed to turn into snow.

Your best bet might be to go straight to the Caribbean.

Morning all. Have had my cuppa Dew & am ready for the day.
Got whatever URI my ds had last week. I'm sicker than he was!
    LOL, I'll be fine.

If y'all don't want the precip you're getting, feel free to shunt some of it our way. We are SOOOOOOO dry.

    Good Morning one and all,

Reach out to someone today and give them a smile.

DG I hope your sis feels better really soon.

There is nothing worse than losing a friend. IT HURTS BIG TIME. I pray for comfort and happier days soon.

We are going to be without our laptops for the next few days due to major upgrades. I am frothing at the mouth because I cannot cope without my puter.

Only hassle will be to put our notes back in once lappies are returned to us. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I don't like upgrades LOL

Still dragging my toes about my Christmas cards to Down Under. I really must just do them all tonight and 'Git 'er dun', usually have them done and winging their way to Aussieland. Oh well kick my pants and get me moving will ya?

Take care those that are driving in awful conditions.

I am off to the mountains today and are supposed to have around 1" or so of rain. Now if I see white stuff I AM stopping and playing, take photos, play some more then drag my tail off to see some patients

Had a day of it yesterday with one antsy patient freaking out about his Fentanyl infusion. Geeezzzzzzzzzzz this guy is getting 100mcgs as a BG infusion, and can have 100mcgs as a bolus every 5 mins, yes you read it right!!! I got an order from the Doc yesterday to reduce it to every 15 mins and Mr Patient is NOT happy. He may be able to keep his peepers open long enough for me to actually have a decent conversation.

Makes it hard when patients have had previous drug use and abuse!

Still got to chat to his Doc who is awesome. She used to be a Hospice Nurse before going on with her training. I love and respect this woman and would work for her in a heart beat.

Anyways have a wonderful day and please stay safe on the roads.

Now where is Grace these days? I miss her bubbly news from Down Under *sniff sniff*

Toots java is calling my name.

Bethin - it snowed up here earlier on this week, but has been really comfortable the past few days - had the AC on yest and have the window open here @ work tonight. I don't mind looking at the snow, it's driving through it, walking/shoveling it that is bothersome!

Yikes Sabby, that's a TON of fentanyl!!! Did he just want to be completely out of it??

Great news on the MIL front.

How serious is kidney dilation? Is it a result of the MVA? Hope everything turns out ok. I'll be keeping your family in my prayers.

I always told myself that the day I dread going to work is the day I quit. Can't quit, have to find a new job first. I dread going in, taking care of 14 pts, most of them are total care, one great nurse helps out, the other aide is flaky. I hate my job. I'm even finding myself not liking the pts. I'm not mean or disrespectful, but it's becoming harder to smile and be nice. I think it's the stress. I'm so glad I got my CNA first - I now know nursing is not for me. I love taking care of people but I weary of them quickly. Plus, the lack of respect doesn't help matters.
