dansko owners.....let me pick you brain

  1. this is a kick-off of a thread started in student nursing forum.

anyone wear dansko? are they truly as comfy as they look? i'm not talking "new" comfy or "comfy for a few weeks".........i'm talking LONG STANDING WOULD NOT DO WITHOUT THEM comfy.

before i make the effort of finding a store that carries them and then trucking 45 minutes plus to get to said store, i would like to have the opinions of my trusted allnurses cohorts please

    Hi Rena !

Dansko owner here ! Mine are very comfy, but I haven't worn them for 5 days in a row yet, so my opinion is based on 1-3 days only so far. Feet only slightly ached on the first day, no complaints after that !

I'm very satisfied, I have the clogs/closed back, a lot of my clinical/classmates comment on liking the style.

I ordered them online Dansko.com, size 7 fits perfectly.

Rena, l have a pair and they are sharp...pretty good for comfort, but somehow l keep going back to my ugly ANYWHERES, looks like duck feet, but oh the comfort in a 12 hr shift in a busy ER..mostly my Dansko shoes sit in the break room....comfort over style here......LR

Are you allowed to wear backless shoes at your workplace?

thanks you guys. we aren't allowed open back clogs at work or school. at least until i make it into the OR.

my feet changed so much after my last pregnancy. now they are long and wide. my problem is that i'm now a 1/2 size. so 9's are too snug but 10's are too floppy.

i guess i'll just have to find a store after all to try them. :chuckle i love living in the middle of nowhere but at times like these i wish the 'good' stores were just a little closer.

Rena, the anywheres come in european sizes..not same as here, and you are supposed to wear them so that they don't fit snug..even the Dansko shoes have a small back to them but the shoe is not supposed to hug your heel...it should feel like an open back clog when you walk....hope this helps....LR

I had one pair of Danskos and I loved them. They were brand-new but the leather was scuffed right on the top and they were reduced to $15!!! They were wonderful! I'd love a new pair...just waiting for an extra $90-$110 to fall in my lap.
