Have you guys heard about stuff like this? People set up websites telling people that they're in debt and ask for people to donate money to help them get out...and people actually do it! I read about www.savekaryn.com
a while ago - she was $20K in debt (from overspending on her credit cards) when she started her site, and now she is OUT of debt. There was a ton of backlash against her, but there were also a lot of people who, IMO, had more money than brains. She's even coming out with a book about the experience. Oy vey...
I was talking to a co-worker today, and did a search on "cyberbeg", and now there's a website devoted to cyberbeggars! Augh! It's www.cyberbeg.com,
and there's link after link after link of people with their cyberhands out. I'm sure there are some stories who are legit (not counting the girls on their who are asking for money for boob jobs), but who can you believe?
Has anybody else heard about stuff like this? What do you guys think?
