I used to go to Curves, and it does work as long as you go at least 3 times a week. I was doing Curves along with going to Weight Watchers. While going to Curves I lost about 25 pounds and 50 inches off my whole body in about 4-5 months. I had already lost about 20 pounds with Weight Watchers alone, but Curves really helped to tone up and take off inches very quickly.
I signed up when they had a special on the sign up fee so it was only $49 instead of $149. And the monthly fee is $39. They have different specials throughout the year.
I had to quit because the hours were not convenient for me once I started taking some ROP classes at night. They are not open as many hours as a regular gym would be. Mine was open from 7am - 7pm M-F and 9am - 11am Sat, closed Sunday. But the longer the Curves is open, the more hours they are open. You should check with the locations around your area.
The workout is easy and fun, so if it fits your schedule and the fee sounds reasonable to you, I would go for it. It's not a high impact workout, so you don't feel completely exhausted afterwards, but it still gives you results.
