I have that stuff too, my software is called Easy CD Creator 4. I can't find any way of converting files from one form to another. Very aggravating.

I have checked out tons of wav sites, but this isn't that crappy piano tin-can version, it's a very funky version of Jersey Girl, by The Holly Cole Trio. I'll attach it, and if anyone can download it, convert it and re-post it for me, I'd be forever grateful! Or just listen and enjoy it! Whoops, never mind, I see mp3 files are not valid file extensions for attachments here. If anyone can do it, e-mail me vnarn_nj@yahoo.com and I'll send it to you the regular way.

    Thank you!!!!

    Hi Hoolihan,

I use a converter called GoldWave. It can be downloaded at C/Net Type "goldwave" in the search box, choose "downloads" for the area to download from, and go. This software is shareware, and only $40, if you decide to register.. If you do not register the product, some of the features will become inactive, but not the key feature to convert from mp3 to wav. This was great for what I needed it for. The other features are really interesting too.

Once you have downloaded and installed, open the program, choose "file, open" and the converter automatically converts the file. After that, do a "file, save as" and wala, there you have it!

C/Net does have other converters. I did a search using "mp3+wav+convert" and found two others. Have fun

That's just what I was looking for cardiolo!!

Wish I had thought of doing a search!

As for spelling my name, I'm not even sure myself of the correct spelling of the character's name from MASH, so no harm done.

I'll try that tomorrow, my purse is downstairs with credit card in it, too lazy/tired to go up and down again.

    Hoolahan,

You're welcome! I apologize if I was not clear in my explanation of the GoldWave software program. It is shareware. Therefore, You do not have to pay for the program when you download it After download, you have a certain amount of time to use the software, then some features may be inactive. I have found that these features are ones that I do not need. On the other hand it is nice to send the fee to the person or company who created the software if you decide to continue using it, especially with commercial use. The decision to pay is up to you. Otherwise, download it, test it, and continue to enjoy it before paying anything There are also many freeware products at this site.

Again, have fun! If you have any questions when you are learning to use the software, please feel free to e-mail me

Cool, thanks. I am a tad bit leary when it comes to downloading stuff like this, I have dealt with a wicked computer virus not long ago, but if it was OK for you, I wil trust it.

    OK, NEW computer question.
I am using an inexpensive ISP< that I like very much. Trouble is, my kids are old enough and computer saavy enough that they have learned all about free e-mail sites, and they have downloaded aol IM thru lycos. I hate all things aol, and consider it poison to my computer AND I hate that they have passowrds and are talking with people who I have no control over. Somehow, this freaking IM has overiden my passowrd to log-on to my ISP< so I have lost all control. I am thinking of changing ISP's, since I can figure out NO WAY to keep my kids from this access. I have set and re-set the computer log-on controls to no avail.

First of all, I can't believe they allow kids to download this stuff. Now everyday I log on there is some new little icon on the toolbar and it is pi$$ing me off.

Anyone know of any software which would completely block downloads onto my computer? I have 2 anti-virus programs, and they are no help in this matter. I am actually thinking of breaking down and getting aol with the child-controls, although, I HATE getting bumped off line so much and I'll be damned if I am going to pay for 2 ISP's. Any ohter ISP's out there who have child-controls like aol? Kids are running amok on this computer and I am powerless, except for pulling plugs, I've tried it all, they figure it out!! I see no reason that I have to punish myself as well. I'm ready to go off-line forever! When school starts, I don't want them wasting time on-line at all.
    HELP!!!
