Coffee nuts, C'mere!

  1. I'm ISO a good coffee maker. I have a gevalia now, but it doesn't get the coffee hot enough and it's very slow. I like the speed of a bunn, but I can't find one that's programmable. What kind do you have and why did you choose it?

    I have a KitchenAid. Can't remember why I chose it.
    Why am I not surprised I would be the 1st to post on a thread regarding coffee?
    Fav coffee: Starbucks African Kimatu. Like strong, full flavored coffee. When I'm in the outside world, with a Dunkin Donuts on every corner, I'm always stopping off for a large hot coffee or a large turbo ice.

    Have a Krups and love it. Wore out two Capressos. They break down to easily. Grind my own beans every morning.

    Wow...good to know about the Capressos. They're supposed to be so good. Betcha your house smells real nice when you grind your beans.

    Mr Coffee....the Bunn died after many, many years of faithful coffee making...and it doesn't seem to be a popular brand here on the east coast?? Favorite coffee....hmmmmm....decisions, decisions....BLUE MOUNTAIN COFFEE....yummy!! EXPENSIVE, have to order it online....or fly to Jamaica.

    [color=#a0522d]put whole beans in, out comes coffee. makes a lot of noise, but that keeps the cats off the countertop and it is programmable.
    [color=#a0522d]
    [color=#a0522d]complaints?
    [color=#a0522d]
    [color=#a0522d]hard to take apart to clean, though it is dishwasher safe.
    [color=#a0522d]
    [color=#a0522d]i also have a hard time figuring out how many scoops of whole beans i need to equal one scoop of ground coffee. everyone tells me it is the same, but i know it can't be.
    [color=#a0522d]
    [color=#a0522d]i went through several coffee makers before i bought this one. it has been working well for about 5 years.
    [color=#a0522d]
    [color=#a0522d]i got it at bed/bath/beyond.

    Hi

    After many different brands, have settled on Mr. Coffee-programmable.

    We have used Gevalia coffee for many years-we use the Stockhom(SP) Roast. I think we have been buying this coffee for over 20 yrs!! LOVE IT!!

    I also love Dunkun Donut Coffee as well as Carabou. It's also a chain--don't know if you all have them in your city. I will take a Starbuck's any day, also!!

    As long as it says COFFEE--I'll probably drink it.

    I love my freshly ground beans every single day, but if I cannot have that, I adore McDonald's fresh coffee. Just love it.

    for yrs i had my nanny's (great-grandmother) coffee bean grinder.
    pour beans in the glass and crank away.
    my biceps were well-defined after a month of that daily.
    i'm pretty adaptable to any type of coffee, as long as it's strong, and not decaf.....or instant. ugh.

    I have both a Starbucks Barista coffee maker/caraffe and also an espresso machine. Yes expensive, but well worth every single penny. I have been thru too many "cheap" coffee makers and decided it was worth it to spend the money to get the best.

    Also have an electric grinder from Starbucks. Again, well-worth it.
