good morning and a happy christmas eve.

i had a downright busy day yesterday. i had to run one errand too many in the awful traffic, attempted to get through crowds of people to finish my x-mas shopping and braved going to the grocery store to purchase a ham for today.

dh and i are going to a friend's house for dinner tonight. i am in charge of the ham and rice with pigeon peas. i am not even done wrapping presents so that will keep me busy in a little bit.

i am sooo tired. my memory foam mattress topper arrived yesterday so we slept like babies. :d i am ache free this morning just exhausted.

after tomorrow i will sit down, relax and start reading my nursing books and start on my assignment.

    have a wonderful day everyone!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! It is 2130 here and I am about to go into work. Now I think too I deserve a little pat on the back (even if I do say so myself)

I got rung earlier this evening to see if I wanted to go "on call" instead of working the full shift. Being in the holiday spirit I suggested they first ask my colleage who has two small boys if she would like the night off. She said YES YES YES!!! So, I am going in to work and will be doing her "in charge" job and with luck I won't have to call J___ in!

Woo Hoo!! It's 3:30 in the morning and I haven't been to sleep yet. Dd and I are planning to go grocery shopping today. Imagine we'll be among the other 30,000 folks who haven't bought their Christmas dinner yet either! Don't even know what we'll be having! All the more fun, right?

It's Christmas Eve! :Ball: :Santa2: Hope everyone enjoys!!

jess, i had one of those memory foam pillows. i had headaches and my neck hurt all the time. i must have some weird anatomy or something. i still haven't found a comfortable pillow.

brian, still wrapping? join the club.

gwenith, bless your heart. what a generous thing to do.

weetzie, we posted at the same time. give yourselves lots of time at the grocery store. you'll need it. i still have to go to the mall. we can compare horror stories later.

    have a wonderful day, everyone.

Good Morning everyone. I am drinking my wonderfull hot coffee before I head out for another 12 hour shift. I just can't wait to get back home and watch all those Christmas movies. And tomorrow will be great. The best moment of my life, when I see the smile on my 3 year old daughter face, while she unwrapps her gifts.

That's where I'll be heading off to in a little bit. I plan to be there by 6:30 am so it shouldn't be too crowded. I just hope I can get 8 - 10 packages of mushrooms or else I will have to head to another store.

Hubby is of today so he will be helping me clean since half the people coming tomorrow are his family. He was going to take the kids ATV riding and I had to "remind" him that I needed his help. Why do husbands not think of these things themselves? Now years from now in a fight he wil bring up how I NEVER let him go riding because I ALWAYS had something else for him to do, when in fact it's just this ONE day

Everybody have a safe Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve from work. :icon_mrgr

Walked into a mess - pt having combative seizure. Another pt from car accident where gf died. Only one combative pt left from two days ago and he isn't combative yet.

I'm the supervisor/er nurse today - here's hoping we don't have any more traumas.

My dh, my oldest son and I headed down the mountain to shop - yikes, the mall was impossible to park in. I had a hair appt at 4 p.m. and didn't get out until 7 p.m. and then we did a Costco run. Got 2 tri-tips and a spiral ham. Plus I bought fattening goodies for work today.

I haven't wrapped even ONE present.

Hope everyone who is working has an enjoyable day.

Hope everyone who is NOT working also has an enjoyable day.

Now there's a sensible woman - why do we cover stuff in paper only to have someone else rip it all off moments later??? lol

Seriously - it's all quiet here in the fonenurse household. Hubby playing computer games, DS recovering and out playing cricket like a kid, with younger kids in the street, DD pining for boyfriend who lives 300 miles away and me chatting to you guys - the illlness has brought organisation to our household and all seems to be getting back on track here.

Happy Christmas to all - just going to make some sweet potato soup if anyone wants some...

I've been sending my Christmas e-cards to ya'll under another thread, but think this is an appropriate place to post my next-to-the-last card, seeming that today is Christmas Eve.

Will be heading out to my son's home and spending Christmas Eve with him and the grandkids later today. Peace to all!
