Christmas bonus

  1. I got my "christmas" bonus today. They actually call it a P3 bonus...no idea what it stands for, but who cares I was happy. I was expecting about 250-300 bucks but I was mildly surprised when it was over $800. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES!!!! This is going to be an even better christmas for the kiddos. We are always careful with the amount of money that we spend....usually just 300-400 bucks max per kid but this year it will be closer to a 1000 per kid thanks to the bonus!!!!

You spend $1000 per kid on Christmas?

Wow. Either I'm really old or we were really poor when I was growing up.

    Congrats on the good news.

NO bonus EVER in 25+ years of nursing. Consider yourself lucky.

My kids sure would like you for parents...

Or kids may be a little older....presents do get more expensive. I spent about 1200-1400 this year, but it was on 5 kids.....

I don't ever recall receiving a bonus, but I am glad that some nurses do. Have a great holiday.

My hospital gives out $20 grocery gift certificates. Lovingly referred to on my unit by some as Christmas "food stamps."
