Can you tell me?

  1. I am currently in school to recieve my ADN. I have the option to take my test for LVN and start working. I am just curious if any one can tell me exactly what job duties are different between a nurse who is an LVN and an RN? What are the daily differences in job duties?

    Thanks !!

I don't know about your state. Try searching for your state Board of Nursing, they might have info listed on the website about what each can do.

check your State/Provincial Board of nursing to find out what you want to know. Also , responsibilities can vary by institution. Good luck.

    thank you!

does that mean that some nurses can certify a person dead? over here only a doctor can do that. and its not something I want to learn to do in a hurry either!

Seems to me that by now we should be able to know if someone is dead or alive.

LPN's can't hang blood or check off blood. They can't tape report (has to be given to RN who then tapes...dumb). IV Push like someone else said and....hook up PCA's. This is WI though....could be different.
