Busier than a....

  1. [font="comic sans ms"]...one armed paperhanger!

been doing lots o' work on my house: new fencing, got rid of the killer bougainvilla and the nasty plumbago, painting, new carpet, getting the bad plastic plumbing replaced w/copper. moved my son into a larger bedroom, will make his old room into an office. his paint choices? black and blood red! he's into "gothic".

i'm also working w/a professional organizer. expensive, but worth every cent because i just get overwhelmed and nothing ever gets cleared out. we've been thru the house, and thrown/given away lots of stuff--feels quite liberating.

and, last, but not least, we're leaving for hawaii next weds. when we come back, i'll get the rest of the "project" done, hopefully before christmas.

even tho i'm majorly pooped, it's been kinda fun.

Congratulations on your liberation. And your trip.

I should follow your fine example and weed out all kinds of stuff from my house and especially my office, but for now, I'll just bask vicariously in your glow.

If anyone deserves a break, you do. I hope your vacation leaves you mellow and re-energized.

Sounds awesome. We really should bite the bullet and hire an organizer/decorator and finish this house we've been working on for four years.

Have a great time in Hawaii!

    That does sound awesome!

I like to think that my house stays "somewhat" organized, but maybe that's because 90% of my pack-rat stuff is in a storage shed.

    Have a great trip!

Congrats marla. Doesn't it feel great when you can SEE what you have accomplished.
It has been crazy around here over the last week also. I got 4 of my husbands out of state family who decided to come to baby's birthday on 2-3 days notice. So worked like a madman trying to get things ready for them, plus the extra shopping and meal planning along with Halloween and finishing up the kid's costumes, and planning a birthday party.
I am glad his parent's and grandparents came, bit is it too much to ask for a little notice??? His brother and Girlfriend were also planning on coming but something came up. 4-6 houseguests is alot of work on top of everything else.
OH well Halloween was a blast, birthday was wonderful and everyone has left so this morning it is just me and the little man.
Marla can I go with you pleeeezzeee???
