Bush's 48 hour deadline. What do you think? Come vent your feelings with me..

  1. Heard a special report that Bush has given Saddam 48 hours to leave Iraq...
Does the idea of war scare you too?
My life is now going in a positive direction and now the threat of war... Not to mention other countries possibly using nuclear weapons against us.
Do you feel like it's too much to deal with?
If our country is thrown into such turmoil what will it mean for us, the little people?
Will there be paychecks to pay the bills?
Would you still go to work?
How will people make their house payments, car payments etc etc...
Will there be food available for us?
Will there be some sort of martial law where our usual activity might be disrupted?
Not to mention the safety of the ones we love... Will you think twice before going to the malls, super walmart or other public places where you might be at risk or your loved ones might be at risk if they go!
Does it all frighten you... It does me!
    What do you think?

joey, l am concerned, but not afraid. actually nothing is really all that different, except that we are more painfully aware after 9-11
of the threats that exist, existed all along. l think the saying aplies here, "the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know."...And l am all for ousting that devil Saddam H. We only had a greater "perception" of safety prior to 9-11, when in actuality, we were in grave danger. At least now we are eyes wide open. You can take this to the bank, there is intelligence that exists that the general public are not privy to nor should be, and l believe getting rid of SH is the only way to go to ensure the future safety of our nation and the eventual liberation and well being of Iraq.

America's first pre-emptive strike. Pandora's Box is open.

And 227 years of America's history tossed away.
    America the Beautiful?

Yes, but for the past 227 years we haven't had to deal with terrorism and chemical warfare.

Pre-emptive? What about 9/11? Maybe we should wait for some anthrax to be lobbed our way so we don't break our streak.

Joey, I would be more scared if we didn't do anything. We need to protect the freedom we have enjoyed for so many years.

Thank you for expressing what has been stuck inside my throat. On one hand I have felt silly getting worried and watching the news, on the other hand I feel all of the emotions you listed. I will continue to "live" as my husband says, but with one eye cautious at all times.

I hope there will still be paychecks! Yes I will still go to work. I sure hope there is food (although I could lose a few pounds before I get near starving!)
Martial law would be werid to live with?so I sure hope I don't have to.
I won't go to big malls and disneyland is OUT! Until I actually feel safer I won't be wasting my money to go to any amusment parks.
Any yeah, it frightens me! even tho I know the danger always did exsist before 9/11, now is really does seem more real. I do still plan to go to the beach this summer and I won't let it totally change my life; but life IS different now (after 9/11) and this war.

You might think I am paranoid but I bought a whole bunch of ammo the other day. I was just driving by the store and I stocked up. I'm not really expecting anything. I just felt like it was a good idea. Spent like $250 on bullets.

hiyas.... see... I'm not anti peace.... matter of fact, I'm a goddess loving pro peace babe.
but, I'm not anti war either... see... sometimes, to get your point across... it takes a shove in the right direction...
unfortunately, in this day and age, a shove goes unfelt ohso often.... then, it goes into a shouting match, and it goes unheard... then its an ultimatum.... that goes undone.... then, finally, is a slap.... and, it is felt....
I dont want war... I detest war.... but, sometimes its enevitable....
and, thats the last I have to say on that matter.
