Buried statue of St. Joseph

  1. Hi there, we are in the process of selling our home in Colorado and moving to Austin Texas do to a job transfer...we are having a house built in Austin and it is set to close sometime around June...
We have had our house on the market since November and have had no bites.
It is a great house, but small, it is a starter home, so it will be perfect for just the right couple buying there first home or someone downsizing....anyway, the holidays really seemed to go slow for showings, but things have really picked up alot...
I know this is a buyers market but I am so frustrated we have not recieved any offers yet. I start to take it personally but no that is not the case.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of burying a statue of St. Joseph upside down in your front yard? I have had several people tell me about this and I am at witts end so feel I have nothing to loose here...
So I went to the religion store yesterday and purchased my statue, prayer card and the instructions to bury my statue...
I guess this "superstition" has really helped alot of people...
I was wondering if anyone has heard of this or done this?
    Wish me luck!!!

    Hi Jan,

I come from a large catholic family and although I have never had to sell a house, everyone in my family swears by it.

My dad buried his statue and his house sold in a few days. Not only that, but the day it sold the statue "popped" out of the ground.

You are probably a bit frazzled with having to relocate and all, I hope your house sells soon. Holidays can be tough to sell but with spring on the way, I'm sure you'll be fine.
