blood debt

  1. Did I just here them say on the news that GWB told Europeans that he is calling in a blood debt? WOW, I guess he means all the American's that died on their shores are owed something. Does that sound like a strong statement to you. It sure does to me.

Lord, I hope you heard it wrong.

That would be as bad as two weeks ago when he was out in Washington State... maybe it was Oregon. Anyway, he makes this nationally televised speech, and actually tells the people of the Pacific Northwest:

"If you all would agree to letting us cut down these trees in these National Parks, you wouldn't keep having these forest fires."

I swear it....He said it. I heard it and saved the newspapers. LOL

Actually, as bad as that was, "calling in blood debts" does sound worse.

Althought I usually agree with GWB's intentions, he does tend to wear his foot in his mouth quite frequently. No-one has apparently been able to teach him to think before he speaks.

If only I could just blurt out what I think sometimes in the ER.

There is nothing that annoys me more than Americans saying they saved the world in WW2 for selfless reasons (like Pearl Harbour and the Lusitania or whatever it was called had nothing to do with it). Well, except that a lot of them seem to think the war started in 1941.

I guess the blood shed by much of the rest of the world before we entered the war doesn't really count.

And while we are at it, when I lived in Canada I was reminded that "America" consisted of more than just the United States. Whoops.

(Well, when you're the 800 pound gorilla, you can call yourself anything you want.)

Good old Tony Blair is ready to pay the "Blood Price" Not his personally, you understand, but that of the British forces. It looks like we are going to be in this war from the beginning yet again!
