Betrayed by my own........

  1. I had a staff meeting this morning, mandatory. No sitter, so I took the little one with me. Three years old, remember. The doc who caught her at birth was the ER doc this morning, so he was chatting with her. He asked her "Is your mommy loco?" and drew circles next to his temple.

    The little "angel" nodded YES!!!

I tried to prove that she would say yes to anything and asked her, "Is Dr. J loco?"

    She shook her head NO!

What kind of loyalty is that, I ask?? This child, who is dependent on ME for everything, betrays me and then has the nerve to grin and say "I love you, Mommy!"

Kids these days, I swear............can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em......:lol_hitti .......now I understand why animals eat their young........

That's funny . . . . they are cute, that is why we don't eat them.

I have told my #2 son his whole life that the only thing that kept us from "killing" him was that he was so cute.

Now, someone had to hold me back when he was a teenager . . . . .

Now now . . . when I was a kid I thought my REAL parents left me here on Earth with this weird family and my REAL parents were from Venus.

I am a firm believer in the theory that when children reach their 13th years, they are kidnapped by aliens and replaced with one of theirs, because that teenage is not the child I raised!!!

Well something certainly happens . . . . I've said it before and I'll say it again - I miss my little redheaded girl who adored me. The girl with the dyed black hair and the cranky attitude and the desire for two lip rings is NOT my little girl.

By the way, she'll get lip rings over my dead body . . . I've let her do whatever she wants with her hair but defacing her face with permanent holes is not gonna happen.

And she wants to be an actress . . .yeah, I can just see her at an audition with her goth-looking black hair and lip rings . . . (of course she would be offended that I called her "goth").

    Ok . . .enough ranting . . .. back to housework.

I always told my kids that God made them so cute when they were little so that we'd get attached to them and not kill them when they stopped being cute and started being teenagers!

I had one that did the black hair, black lipstick thing. I comforted myself with the fact that you don't see a lot of 30 years olds dressed like that. They must grow out of it ... and she did (thank God!).

    Kids... gotta love 'em.

Tazzi: BOY!!!!!!!! Can I relate to that. (LOL) I have a bad habit of talking to myself-loudly. When my kids were younger I didn't worry so much-figured if I got caught I could pretend that I was talking to them. One day, in the store with my then 12 yo oldest ds, I was talking away only to have him walk off. When I laughingly jumped him he laughed right back. He had walked off on purpose, hoping to embarrass me. :trout: Little stinker!!

This is about the only reason DD#1 is still alive, because at this moment both Hubs and I are ready to rip her face off and feed it to the crows. The Little One is still cute so she can pretty much get away with anything!

when your children act like this go and give your own mother a hug - bless her heart she went through the same thing

No way, not this bad! My mother is from Korea, and we were raised with Oriental values. If we had dared to act like DD#1 is acting, we would have been tarred and feathered and buried up to our necks in the way of Japanese torture!!

On the other hand, I could see myself doing what Baby DD did.........

When Juan was about 4, I heard my mother's voice coming out of my face. Something to the effect of, "If you don't stop that, I'll GIVE you something to cry about!!!".

I went to the phone, called up my mother and apologized. I told her I just wanted to clear the slate in case there was anything left over from my childhood that needed apologizing for.....

Yep, I've done...just last week, in fact. I called my dad and said, "Remember all those times you tried to get me to do something and I said 'I can't do it!'? I'm really sorry.........."

Ever hear the sound of hysterical, maniacal laughter over the phone?
