Best action movies ever

  1. So I was up all night reading Premiere magazine. They rated the 100 best action movies of all time. Some I agreed with, some I didn't. I think they left out Pulp Fiction? I like action movies as much as the next girl. What are your votes?

I'm not sure I'd define Pulp Fiction primarily as an action movie. Maybe that's why they left it out? Don't ask me WHAT the definition is either. Ya know, it's like porn--I can't define it, but I know it when I see it.

Don't know about "of all time", but some of my faves are the two Terminator movies, Speed, the Lethal Weapon series, esp. number 3; Total Recall. I'll probably like The Matrix when I finally get around to seeing it. :imbar And, um <whispers> Con Air. I know!!! But it has Steve Buscemi in it, and I luuurve him!

Seeing some movies repeatedly-- in their absurdly bowdlerized versions-- on the USA Network or elsewhere, has permanently ruined some of them for me. Die Hard, I'm looking at you.

I know there's more. Hmm. Must think.

Die Hard II, Pulp Fiction, The Usual Suspects, Total Recall, The Bourne Identity (excellent!), Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon... There are more. I'll get back to you.

Uh, this one. Shut up. And Demolition Man, because it was funny.

Any of the Die Hards, Armegedon, The Jackel (so I guess movies starring Bruce Willis), Face Off, The Rock, Bad Boys...I'm coming up blank right now for any others but I'm sure there's more....

I think Pulp Fiction is Action/Drama, but more action?

I REALLY liked Air Force One the first few times I saw it, but I've seen it so many times now that the incredibly stilted and improbable dialogue, not to mention the FOUR separate times that senior staff in the Sit Room erupt inappropriately into loud cheers while on a live open conference call, are much too irritating to make for enjoyable viewing.

Oh, God, I liked Armageddon too. Kill me now.

I too love Con Air. It has been on about three times last week and we watched it every time!

My all time fav violent movie has to be "The Godfather" It is just so calculated.
