Been on a good cruise lately?

  1. I went on a cruise a few weeks ago and I was wondering if any of the nurses that I met on that cruise were here somewhere. If not maybe you could tell me your favorite destination (not cruise line 'cuz that would be advertisement) I'm looking for another good place to cruise to. Bermuda was excellent!
~ p/s if anyone remembers...worked things out with my boss things are great at work now.

I missed the boat! I was supposed to cruise the Western Caribbean in September on a business trip with my hubby. Because of the events of September 11, I felt that it was best for one of us to stay behind with our kids. I tried to convince my hubby that I could conduct his business just as well as he could, but he didn't buy that arguement! So, I stayed, he went, and he was sick with a sinus infection for most of the trip. Poor baby!

The next company trip is to a resort in Bermuda in July. I'm looking forward to that, and hope our plane doesn't get sucked into the triangle! I'm dying for a chance to wear all the clothes I bought.

Okay.. you got me... what is the purpose of the cruise? Is it nurse related or for your hubby's business...

I have sorta seen some cruises for health care professionals... they look more geered to PT, PA's and other upper money making professionals...

Anyone care to share about anything related to nurse "CEU" tyoe stuff?

My cruise was just for fun, I brought my son, my birth mother and my friend that I graduated nursing school with. The other nurses on board arranged it through their hospital, I think that it was just for fun too there were other people from the hospital there like a lady from the lab. I guess that since its just past season (left Sept 29) that the cruise is so cheap 700 per person, I heard that some got fares as low as 500. For 7 days all inclusive. We're going next year too, went last year as well. Someone told me that if I applied or got information on nursing on the ship and nursing in Bermuda I could write the whole trip off on taxes. I didn't do that though, too chicken.

Our trip was a business outing for my husband. I would have just been tagging along. In his industry, trips are common as a way of thanking customers and rewarding high performing employees. What a concept...rewarding employees who do a good job!

You won't believe this, but I won a 5 day. 4 night cruise from Mickey D's on a Mickey Mouse cruise line last year! It was for 4 people, to Nassau and their Goofy private island. We'd never cruised before, and neither had my parents, who went with us. We had a great time, and my parents called it the trip of a lifetime!
