bed type

  1. what type of bed/mattress do you find most comfy? also does anyone have a water bed with lots of animals. are there waterbeds that claws can't puncture? i had a water bed years ago--when living with my parents--so am not sure how comfy it is with hubby and dogs and cats all piled in. i loved it at the time though. cool in summer and a heater built in for the winter.

We've had a water bed for about 10 years now and I love it, although at first I was totally against. Our dog, all 20 pounds of her, jumped on it once and it scared her so bad she stood there frozen and hasn't been on it since. I'm not sure if they make a special one for pets to be on but I guess if their nails aren't long it wouldn't hurt, although I wouldn't want to deal with the flood if something did happen. The only drawback is that when we travel and have to sleep on a regular mattress, I don't rest well at all and always wake up with a backache.

Also, my husband doesn't just roll over in his sleep, he sort of does a flip, so once in a while I end up being bounced pretty good!

I love my bed..... it has the pillowtop thing that makes it feel like a cloud...... It conforms to the body and it helps my hubby sleep better.... The difference was amazing I would never part with it

King-size, firm, but with an attached pillow top that kinda breaks it to you gently. 2 soft feather pillows, one generic, thin, hospital pillow for a little firmness in neck area. Sheet and light quilt summer, flannel sheet down comforter in winter. Temp about 68-72, ceiling fan over bed. Also-no gowns or jammies. I am claustrophobic and can't stand geting all twisted up in them. I usally sleep with one leg out from under the covers, winter or summer.

    Okay-I'm ready for a nap-'cept I never take them!

    Ahhhh, bed!!!

I've got a very firm one with a pillowtop, too. Very comfortable. The MOST comfortable bed I've ever had was a foam mattress. I loved it! My daughter has an airbed. WAY too expensive, but very comfortable.

I saw a tempur-pedic bed at Sams last month. Ooooh - I want one of those!!! I sat on it (I'm much too uptight to lie down in public - God forbid I ever get hit by a car - if I do, I'd better be knocked out completely, or I'd die from embarassment of being knocked over in public!) and it was WONDERFUL.

    Way too expensive.

We just bought a new one. It's a Body Form Mattress, temperature & pressure sensitive. It is quite similar to the Tempur-pedic mattress, but half the price. Comfy as all get-out! The pillows that came with it are also great! My DH said that I'm breathing better...he's snoring less...fewer aches & pains thus far!

It came from the Knox Foam Company in Knoxville, TN. I rec'd the whole shebang within a week of having ordered it. Nice folks. We had problems with the shipping co. & a guy brought the foundation down on one of the company's trucks that very day! Mind you, we're about 1 1/2 hours from Knoxville, so we were fairly easy to get straightened out. I was SO impressed with their customer service! Their website is Tell them I sent you.

I spent 300 dollars for my ultra comphy twin matress and frame. Again, you can not skrimp when it comes to a good nights sleep. I like a firm pillow and always sleep on my back. I like the climate to be cool, or cold, with a window open or ac running. I don't make my bed, just sandhich myself in a nice comphirter. My bedroom is high up and faces east with virtually no obstruction for miles, so the morning light comes in like a lazer beam :-(

I had a water bed, I loved it but the hubby kept getting back aches so we bought a queen size simmons beauty rest. We love our new bed and best of al no back aches!!
