Band of Brothers?

  1. Anyone watching this on HBO? I love it. I am not at all a war movie watcher, but this really has me hooked, just like the Patriot did.

Last night they discovered a concentration camp. Very poignant episode.

We've considered getting HBO just to see 'Band of Brothers'--it looks great. I guess we'll watch for the series to come out on tape.

WELLLLLLL...kday why don't you and your hubby take a short trip down here to Tennessee and hook us up!!

...and then on down to the mountains of N. GA to get us hooked up! We can't get anything BUT satellite because of the mountains. Where did he get this gizmo? Huh, Huh? I pay $97.23 a MONTH for the only satellite whose signal we can hit-there is a mountain that goes right up in front of our house, and it blocks the azimuth for the more reasonably priced service.

You're right-too much TV, while we mountain folk have TV deprivation unless we are willing to pay through the nose for it.

Just remind him, while he is sitting there satellite surfing, that there are colleagues of yours out there that are keeping him in mind, and hoping he picks up a little atmospheric interference!

Also, remind Mr. Paranoia that, since 9/11, folks have way too much to do than to be checking out nursing BB's, looking for signal catchers! LOL! If he should ever change his mind...

WOW, that's a good deal!!! hmmmmmmmm, let's see..for what I could get by turning in Mr & Mrs KDay, I could buy me one of those fancy gadgets!! lol

I had one, they updated the damn cable from analog to digital, and my $175 descrambler went down the drain. Well, that was after 3 years of

There are several sites that offer these, you can even get the specs to build your own...if you're the least bit techno. Obviously I'm not.

Kday, do ya'll not have a problem with them scrambling your descrambler?? Back when mine worked, they'd do something every so often and if I didn't disconnect mine before they did it, mine would be blocked until the next time. Luckily though, my descrambler dealer is also a nurse and he'd let me know when the zapper was scheduled. $100 is a helluva deal!!! I paid $175 several years ago <giving co-worker the evil eye> lol

The above posts turn my stomach. You supposed patriots are STEALING, by using descramblers. Isn't part of being a "patriot" being an honest citizen--treating others with RESPECT, paying taxes, honoring your NEIGHBOR, etc.? Or is being a patriot flying a flag while you "tee-hee" about bilking your fellow citizens? Shame on you.

<ten hail Hiker's> Forgive me great one, for I have sinned

I pay taxes, I don't steal from my neighbor (but IF you'd just let me "y" off of your cable,, I RESPECT everyone that deserves for "bilking"...MY cable bill is THE definition of "bilking", so there's no blood in this heart for the bleeding, ole' sinless one!

Ok, you guys, I know I sounded self-righteous. For that, I apologize! But, would you shoplift a nice coat if you thought you could get away with it, just because it was overpriced? What is the difference? Granted, cable TV prices are a rip off! But, TV is a luxury, not a necessity. I feel strongly about this, because we have a friend who got his descrambler through his firestation. He has kids and grandkids. I feel this is teaching them to be dishonest. That's all. Think about it.
