Banana phone

  1. Ok, counterpart to the demented badger song...stolen from www.cuteoverload.com (which is a great website if you haven't seen it!). Listen to this twice and I swear to ya you'll be singing it in your head for 3 days LOL. Check it out:

Yes, but it's a little manic for me, lol!

I love the original, by Raffi (on kid's CDs/old tapes), which contains more of the song. LOVE IT!!

Banana Phone is the song's name. some of the rest of the song goes:

"Don't need quarters, don't need dimes
To call a friend of mine
Don't need computers or TV to have a real good time
    I'll call for pizza
    I'll call my cat!
I'll call the White House and have a chat!
I'll place a call around the world,
    'Operator, get me Bei-jing-jing-jing-jing!"

etc. You'll probably find it if you google Raffi or look for his works on amazon.com or someplace similar. Again, thanks for the memory jog, I do love the Banana Phone song!!

I *loved* Raffi as a kid! I even went to a Raffi concert! But I never heard that song. I was always partial to "Baby Baluga" and "Down by the sea, where the watermelons grow"
